Contrary to the general opinion, i really liked this movie. Honestly i expected a completely different sentiment from this board, hehe.
The Knights of Badassdom as expected from the movie title is stupid, simple fun. The only thing missing was even more Metal and (what the hell) maybe Jack Black.
It's a mix of general cheese and stupidity from a 80s B-Movie with a enjoyable cast and a really cool Heavy Metal Soundtrack from the phenomenal Bear McCreary who also did the legendary Soundtrack for Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead or the Metalocalypse Rock Opera. It's like a few Metalhead RPG fans got together and made a movie just for fun.

Try watching Dorkness Rising, which was made for, as far as I can tell, a budget of a couple hundred bucks, and then compare to this unfortunate abomination.

Expect more?! Man I came into this expecting very little other then to maybe get a few chuckles throughout the film. This movie failed to do even that. You got a great concept, some actors of note like Tyrion and Abid, and you do jack shit with it all. Fuck this movie right in its ass. You know this movie sucks when a 15 and 9 year old say it was boring as hell. The only reason we even bothered to finish the movie was to see if they were planning to make us laugh at any point...NOPE! Again fuck this movie! You have been warned.

yeah, really good idea for a movie and great actors but it just fell flat, very little funny happened and it tried to be too serious too often.
I compare it to this is the end - knights had "real" actors just reading lines and apparently weak writers and director, whereas this is the end is a stupider idea but all the actors were comedians so they improv'd a ton of funny shit and the whole movie worked out so much better.

Yeah, dude who plays Jason from True Blood is awesome. They should have left his character completely alone for this movie. Hell, making him even dumber than he is in True Blood would probably have produced far more laughs.
