Did they ever fix/improve the engine in this? LE always felt like it had the opposite problem that PoE2 does, where you don't seem to actually interact with anything and are on ice skates.

They've improved on it a fair amount but it's still not quite there.

Did you play in Harbingers?
I guess not, according to Steam last time I played was just over a year ago.
If you build corruption up in one timeline when you go to another timeline you will get an Orobyss that gives you like ~80% of that previous timelines corruption upon defeating him and it will be revealed within like 2 echos.
That would take care of a pretty big part of the problem at least.

Not having played LE yet, I really hope it's not as bad as that sounds. Would be a major turnoff for me, I'll play close attention when the season drops. Thanks for mentioning it.

LE definitely has some jank. I hope a lot of it was just "release" and how many players they dealt with. But, it is absolutely my biggest apprehension about the game come the 17th or whatever it is.

The weaver tree looks very powerful... and abusable. The trade economy is going to be laughably fucked but should make for some fun experimentation.

I can't think of a modern game that had an economy that wasn't overrun with bots,.exploits, and currency manipulators, right off the bat.

Same thing happened here I believe with the last 2 trade leagues being busted pretty much right out of the gate.

For some it's a non-issue but clean animations is a big thing for me as well. The almost running in place animation is a turn off but the game was really fun to play.

I do hope they improve on it. It did improve from early-access to 1.0.

Some nice qol, the mastery respec is ok but I didn't feel it was a big deal to relevel a char back when I played, still nice.

Being able to pay 3 keys to skip the dungeons entirely and just fight the boss is nice, although they apparently made them smaller too so they might not be so fucking terrible to run. Still I remember getting so many keys before I could get relevant LP uniques to use that I wouldn't mind just burning additional keys.

Real autoloot(instead of having shit go to your inventory then having to click again to go in their own inventory) and adding keys special inventory is nice also.

And empowered monoliths will be a ton faster to unlock on alts, only need one timeline now(don't need to do the lower lvl ones to unlock the 90, they'll all be unlocked directly so you can clear the 90 right away and straight into empowered monoliths).

I was a bit confused by the explanation of all the new mechanics and what they mean in more understandable analogies, so for anyone else who doesn't know wtf all this new shit is, here's a simple explanation using POE terms:

The Weaver faction: basically the atlas passive tree. you use amber instead of atlas points, to level up the faction which gets you access to buy woven echoes and the other new stuff in the patch. Also allows you to target-farm certain mechanics more often, like the atlas tree.

• Woven Echoes: these are droppable/buyable items that are like waystones in POE2 - you slot it into your atlas network to get a special map that has a boss or unique map or whatnot.

• Tombs of the Erased: This is like a vaal side area in POE1 - you're doing your map, see it, jump into the portal, complete a miniature map, then go back to your regular map. The tombs drop the amber needed to progress your weaver faction.

• Cemeteries of the Erased: an actual zone instead of a mini-zone like the Tombs, you stumble across these on the monolith network. if Tombs are like vaal side areas, cemetaries are basically like Vaal Temple. Also drop amber.

For characters it's really very much mostly Sentinel stuff(and mostly Paladin/Void Knight for the mastery, Forge Guard has like nothing since it was reworked in a previous patch), the rest of the categories are pretty empty other than bug fixes. Surprisingly not many nerfs for the stuff I looked at so I guess they're just pushing new meta via buffing Sentinel a ton rather than nerfing all the previous stuff(still some nerfs though).

I don't know if I'll play, guess I'll figure it out next week, but looks pretty good overall.
