This is pretty standard. It should decrypt when Amazon requests it (traditionally at release however there's rumors that they'll unlock a little earlier rather than at the exact hour). Pyros summary a few pages back is pretty apt; depending on your CPU/hard drive it's sometimes better to start the download at that point rather than go through the decrypt.

They could have just spent 5 minutes figuring out how to block players from logging in w/o a founders pack instead of inconveniencing a large swath of people. You could cruise the reddit for the past two weeks and ~30% of the posts were "Can my 1993 computer run Lost Ark?" When in reality, they've figured out how to do just that at the last moment and now people have to decrypt a game thats already out because... reasons? I swear the eye of sauron that is Bezos and his board members dont give a fuck about how AGS is ran.

The only reason I decided to give this a chance is that Amazon is only the publisher.
And even then I'm still kind of iffy about it based on all the fuckups so far.
The game looks amazing though, and I did have fun for a few weeks in New World. I really just want a game that lasts more than a month.

I think all the Legends streamers will get in immediately due to their game is already decrypted, I think. Dat Modz was saying his LA folder had files in it, while everyone else had an empty folder due to the client being encrypted in the cache folder.

You can see (when they go to their Steam) that they last played it yesterday -- which confirms that it was unlocked for them as they were able to launch the client. It's a clever way to provide them 'priority' without skipping passed queues in a way that would make people in queue freak out.

Well based on my research this IS a proper MMORPG with an end game. IT might be grindy at end but its still a proper MMO with tons of content and side content and all kinds of shit to do. And amazon has fuck all to do with the game itself hopefully.

I'll be rolling US West because my ping to Amazon's Virginia data center is total shit.
What AGS should've done is make a US Central region, considering the size of the country. Unfortunately, they're a bunch of fucking incompetent retards. Smilegate probably got enticed by AWS, but they really should've sold publishing to somebody like NCSoft instead.
