Read Boruto a while back and stopped keeping up with it a few years ago since it was OK but nothing amazing.
Finally got round to catching up and... holy fuck... it's really good now!? Seems like the original Naruto author stepped back in to be main writer instead of just being producer.
I really like the complexity of each conflict having more than two sides, the motivations of the antagonists are much more complex than power=good, they are also not always genius masterminds and sometimes do dumb things leading to interesting outcomes.
It was kinda intense reading it all in one go as each battle blends into the next without much if any filler inbetween, I guess that's the consequence of being monthly with each chapter having to have impact. It felt like the pace of early Berserk.
I think I like Boruto more than Naruto now after the timeskip, he feels like a worthy successor to both Naruto and Sasuke.
