I am watching Elajjaz who is sponsored. I have never seen someone struggle so hard not to laugh.

Looks like it will die off quickly. No real interest in an extraction shooter, if it were like The Division where the pvp aspect optional (but rewarding, I might have played it).

Was pretty funny watching the gameplay reveal, then watching this. Can I play this game instead?

puzzling how they can have an in depth cinematic look so great and have such a watered down turd of an actual game.

More like The Finals mixed with DMZ. Except DMZ had no character progression and Marathon seems to address that with innates you unlock over a season. I enjoyed playing DMZ when it was new, but it fell off quickly for me because of that.

Meh, I'm sure I'll try it if it's free but otherwise no.

Early rumors were $40 and I think if it was going to be free they would have said so today. Bungie is probably looking at Tarkov's $250 buy in and justifying it to themselves. Will definitely make the launch harder than it should be for them.

If a flat price means the only transactions in-game are cosmetics, I would be okay with that. I'm extremely tired of freemium battle pass models in every other game.

I never played Tarkov, was it really like $250 to get into it? I just don't know anything about the game other than it being some sort of survival looter shooter or something.

I know destiny 2 has gotten way out of hand. I stopped playing it back at the something about light expansion, I'm going afterwards everything became giant buy in.

I'm sorry, is this an extraction shooter in 2025? Someone should tell the devs that they instead should design a battle royal with completely unlikable characters, it made Sony a ton of $$$!

Just like all the other AAA studios the real talent either left long ago or was driven out by the dykes and trannies running the show. There is like 0% chance this game will be good.

It's $50 to get in but I think any serious player would argue you need the $250 pack.
What's the 250 pack get a player vs the base game? Sorry just curious, I'm never going to buy it I'm just trying to understand that sort of weird bottleneck to enjoy a game to its fullest. Is that that you get a lot more maps or weapons or something?

I think the aesthetics is what kills it, the cinematic trailer is pretty cool. I wish it was a TV show.

The two biggest things are a bigger secure container(your prison wallet, shit in there doesn't get took when you die) and a bigger stash. Both of these issues are addressable by actually playing the game however

Why can’t veteran devs make good games anymore? Trying real hard to think of an established studio that keeps on making good games. Owlcat and Larian not withstanding and owlcat makes good games 4 years after it releases.

Because most of the games we play are on five year dev cycles. Four games. 20 years. Average good dev lasts 6. Best case a few go to leadership 15 years. Skyrim was 14 years ago. But seems like yesterday. All these folks are gone. Long gone. And if you think this is bad, just wait another 10. We will regress into the fucking Stone Age unless something is done. :(
