I've never seen the packs go on sale. They had a G's sale last week (the in-game real money currency) where you get a bonus 15% Gs but that is it. Usually the discounts are all via the in-game store.

Should have just got on my computer and checked, appreciate it.
I really had a lot of hate for this game when it first came out and just felt it was a cash grab, but with all the love this game is getting I'm going to have to give it a second chance.
If you do choose to opt for a bundle I'd say X-Force is probably the better of the two. X-Force has 3 high tier heroes in Deadpool, Colossus and Cable where the other has 1 elite tier in IM then three mid-tier heroes. Although I'd still argue against buying the bundle and just buy some G's in the store and purchase any heroes you want that way. The individual STASH tabs are a luxury but I'd prefer just general STASH space. The costumes, again, a luxury but not dire and the forture cards are just a gamble. My 2 cents.

The Marvel Heroes official forum is shockingly good. The trolls are kept to a minimum. But it will be hard to find general information the forum is better for specific information like itemization and building the individual heroes. Also since the new patch came some information may be dated. Like IM may no longer sit on his throne as the best hero ever -- no one has really had the time to test it.
Hullbuster Armour looks amazing. However Squirrel Girl's Christmas outfit gears her squirrel hordes with big red glowing noses and antlers. Hard to beat that!
At that point I stop playing because that is very pay2win if you need to min/max off the store
I was thinking the same. But then it would change costumes from a vanity thing to a "must have" then the "omg pay to win!" tide starts and so on.

I will add though that they do have "enhanced costumes" with new art/sound/animations, which is just another sigh of the love they put into the game.
I struggle to not buy Beta Ray Bill costume, just to support the cause.

Dude, did you get Ride yet? Last night going through normal storyline, was literally killing everything just using his movement power and burning shit to death. So great.

Yeah dude Ride is so fun, the graphics for GR and his bike are seriously good. Currently using Infernal Contract to drop my health to half and then because of Spirit of Vengance he just obliterates everything on the screen with any chosen skill. So fun.
