His best ae's are Jericho Bombardment and the one off. Iron Man is all about layering damage. For example you can hold down repulsor blast and still fire off micro missiles and jerichos without stopping the repulsor blasts. Max the arc reactor passive and use spirit relics.

On another note Dr. Strange is my new favorite hero.

Seems like Dr Strange is everyones new favorite hero.

Don't know why I wanted so much hand-holding for the leveling process. I'm 49 now just cruising. Using micro, jericho, and repulsor blast. Will probably respec at 60 once I find a good max level build.

Just bought my second hero unlock with splinters, got Thing.

Fuck I'm really pissed. I suppose I was lucky to get someone as good as Ironman for my first unlock, but man that's some bullshit.

Unless you absolutely don't care about which hero you get, it's always better to just save up enough splinters for the ones you want.

Anyone put some time into Strange yet? Trying to decide between him and making sure I have some shards available to buy a teamup in a couple weeks.

Damage wise he is below Storm/Scarlet Witch/Wolverine but still does a ton. Right now his summon build is bugged but should be fixed soon. To run his incantation build you need to do the keybinding method I linked earlier in the thread. The incantation build consists of rotating through almost all of his powers. He is moderately squishy even when geared but he has two shields, an invisibility power (astral form), a ground defense boost (seal) and two clones that taunt for him.

Got Strange to 45-ish through the bonus weekend plus some accumulated bonus potions.

He is... a bit odd. Definitely strong, but... I don't know. It's like it wants you to have a constant rotation of like 6-8 skills, which feels rather clunky to me. I think I just don't like the Incantation/combo ability as much as I do on other heroes with combo bars.

Maybe I'm just too lazy for Strange.

Interestingly, before Stange came out I bought Scarlet Witch with splinters to get her to 25 for the +mental damage synergy for Strange. In hindsight, I'm thinking they play rather similar, but I may like Wanda a bit more due to just being a bit simpler/easier to play.

They're adding in characters with tons of clickies and actives but the UI for MH is fuck-all terrible for these types. I couldn't get into GR because I couldn't be arsed to bind all the shit required to make him work properly.

Dame, that's too bad. After getting back into D3 any character that has more than a couple buttons to hit constantly feels like such a pain in the ass.

I guess. Still feels completely fucking ridiculous to get a duplicate when I only have 3 heroes unlocked.

Can some of you that have played a bunch of different characters compare/contrast some of the below? I'm trying to figure out what to use my Eternity Splinters on and I don't want some random hero I have no desire to play.

Deadpool
Gambit
Nightcrawler
Spider-Man
Wolverine

I have a bunch of other characters to play once I'm done leveling up Thing, but these are the ones I don't have yet that I would consider.

They both still need reviews but they are both strong after they get some gear. Wolverine puts out some silly damage and Deadpool is a machine.

I really can't compare him against much since my next highest characters are in the teens. I've had fun with him, though...mostly just charge through trash and headbutt elites. Pulverizing Smash or whatever is pretty awesome to take down bosses quickly. As you'd probably expect, he doesn't seem to have the damage output of others, but he can take a beating.
Probably just depends on your playstyle...I've always played tanks, so it fits me. There isn't a lot of button mashing like some people are complaining about recently.

Characters that are fun are ones you like and enjoy, both I think as fictional characters and playstyle. I got Cable for some reason and never liked playing him. I forced myself to get to 25 with him for synergy once it came out. I have Hawkeye as a random drop on the tutorial mission from the beginning, still level 1... no wait, I got him to 3 when the did the recent revamp. Punisher has some decent mechanics but I just don't like the Punisher, again had to force myself to get him to 25.

I think any character can be "good" if you like them and how they play. I haven't found any to be cripplingly broken.

Since Deadpool and Wolverine are due for reviews I'd wait on them. Even though they aren't that bad to play now...

I'd go with either Gambit, NC, or Spiderman

I've only played NC out of those 3 and he's a ton of fun porting around everywhere and does decent damage. I think I started playing him after I lvl'd Thing, and ask myself why I play characters without port skills now lol.

Just got Dr. Strange to 60 this past weekend....He is meh for me, lower dps than Storm and Scarlet and way to many buttons to push. Still visually fun to play.

Of those 5 I'd go with nightcrawler. He was released in a great state. Spidey is a good choice too, recently 52 reviewed and pretty fun. Deadpool, imo, got ruined in the DPS patch. His ranged tree sucks now and playing a melee with only one tree just isn't very fun in this game. Wolverine is very very basic and really needs a 52 review. Gambit is cool but feels weak and I don't really enjoy playing him.

If you like tanky melee who can still put out good damage I don't see why you wouldn't play Deadpool. If you don't care about ranged he's a great choice. He's got a resurrect thats on like a 2 minute cooldown and a teleport plus he can take a beating and deals good damage too. He's also got his dolls that taunt enemies to them, so they have taunted status but they aren't hitting you, great ability for all those +dmg to targets with taunted status items. He's great for cosmics, not so great for X-Def but once you get his uniques who cares about X-Def?
