Spawn is black, get your DEI super heroes out of here! ;)
I know he is. Fucking Al Simmons . I think I've got the first 110 issues. It was honestly my favorite long-standing comic book. I didn't care about the fact that he was black I thought it was just a good story.

I remember watching the animated series that came out on HBO back in high school that aired at midnight. Goofy Todd McFarlane used to do the intros for the episodes, and they were cheesy as hell, but I was excited for the well done episodes.

If I was working at Taco Bell that evening, I'd set my VCR in my room to record it, because that's what you did back in the day.

I haven't read an issue since the early 2000s and I have no earthly idea where it went, but it honestly was my favorite comic. I've got the black and white issue number one which was a limited print in my collection, and pretty much everything after that.

Just always pissed me off HBO cancelled the animated series. I always just enjoyed that stuff more than any of the Spider-Man or Superman or whatever sort of stuff.

Bronze is soo like 3000 bc bro.
You would be shocked at how many projects get specced for oil rubbed bronze for all of their hardware. It's simply anesthetic selection choice.

I mean you can pick brushed nickel, or satin steel, but for some reason oil rub bronze is very popular. Probably because you have extremely light or creamy paint colors, and it's specced to have a nice dark deal.

I'm not making this up. I don't know how many projects I've done when it was grounded up where oil rubbed bronze was the ticket. It was for all exterior and interior hardware, including plumbing fixtures.

Doesn't look bad but it's a thing.

Except that fucking nose cover in issue 7 or so. That was bad. But yeah, Spawn rules.

Do you remember issue 2 had some sort of coupon in the back that was supposed to get you some sort of special edition of another image comic. I don't remember what it was, but spawn number two was hot because of this goofy coupon or something.

It was spawn #4 that had the coupon. If you got all of the various coupons you could get Image #0.

Dude I honestly don't remember, but I know the issues of the earlier comics that I had, and I want to say it was the second issue had the coupon and I don't believe my copy had it in there, because it was cut out. Literally with a pair of scissors.

If it was for multiple issues I didn't know that because I didn't really care. I started reading the whole series well after it was maybe into issue 40 or 50, and I went and bought a bunch of the back issues just because I wanted to collect the whole story. I could be wrong it's been so long ago when I started reading Spawn.

It was Shadowhawk 1, Spawn 4, Wildcats 2, Cyberforce 1, Brigade 2, Youngblood 0, and Savage Dragon 3 that had the coupons. You needed all 7 coupons to redeem for Image 0.

Dude I believe you. I didn't realize you had to get coupons from multiple books or series.

I only knew what the other kids I went to school with told me, and it was the spawn issue to get the special comic. I don't know if I was in 5th or 6th grade at the time, probably 6th

Gaimon selling Angela to Marvel as a big FU to McFarlane was pretty amazing.

I mean I know the whole thing was the war between Heaven and hell and that's why you had the hellspawn, but that just sounds retarded. I'm assuming it's because spawn ate the apple of knowledge to gain superpowers above God and malbogia or however it's spelled?

I have not read anything currently, but I don't remember much even from maybe the last 50 issues up to 100. I remember a lot of the earlier issues or story lines, but past that it's kind of a blur.

I've no clue what number they're at at this point. I looked at one point just to kind of see, and I think maybe they're in the 200s possibly, and Al Simmons is no more, and there's somebody else who took over as Spawn.

Honestly loved the Curse of Spawn offshoot they came out in the mid-90s. I've got maybe the first years worth of comics, and it's all an anthology, and the first you are amazing, and then you get into spawn the dark ages.

Really good stuff.

If this was in the first 9 films in the mcu it would be epic,

This tone feels OFF and late

Like you cant do a whole arc of the wolrd ending for most, then cycle back to this, right?

yes, the surfer you are familiar with is named Norrin Radd, his wife’s name is Shalla-Bal. The series where they were both Harold’s was from 1999. I believe in this series it was Franklin Richards that helped with it and she would later die when fighting The Celestials.

This series, honestly, was amazing and is widely regarded as be one of the best series in its time.
Looking it up, it even won some awards.

This millenial DEI bullshit has nothing to do with actual comics. Silver Surfer has been an icon since the 60s.

I have issues 1-150 or so. I stopped reading them after a while, but I still kept purchasing every month. I stopped collecting comics as a whole right before I met my wife, because I pretty much forgot to keep getting them. Years later I started downloading some digital comics (Saga), but that's about the extent of it except for re-reading my old collection from Hawaii while it's sitting in my... well, I guess my basement in Pennsylvania. I re-read the entirety of Ultimate Marvel, and it was still enjoyable.

When Bruce said " I can't have this" he wasn't meaning he was unable to have kids but that having kids was not a "good idea" for his situation.
