Fuuuuuu... how did I forget about Michael Jai White, good call. He's a great choice. I really like Chiwetel Ejiofor too though.Hmmm, thinking off the top of my head for black actors that I think are in the age range to play Blade(25-40ish?).
Anthony Mackie maybe, he's a bit goofy though.
Chiwetel Ejioformaybe, he wouldn't be quite as growly as Snipes, but he's definitely got the chops for it. And he's played with swords before.
Ummm...Omar Epps? Meh, probably too soft spoken but really no idea how he'd be in an action/comic book type role.
OK I dunno what the fuck I'm thinking. Give the role to Michael Jai White and be done with it. Though I believe there were rumors he was up for the role of Black Panther so who knows.
Of course they could go more unknown like with Thor.
Great choice for Blade MJW that is.Fuuuuuu... how did I forget about Michael Jai White, good call. He's a great choice. I really like Chiwetel Ejiofor too though.
Personally I'd still prefer that X-men and all that stuff be in the same universe, but I think they'd work better as Animated Movies & Series. Throw the Disney animation studio muscle behind stuff like the X-men and Fantastic Four (but keep Marvel in charge and writing) and keep them in the same universe as the Avengers. You could do more stuff that way like cross overs and work some mutant characters in and you wouldn't have to worry about making things too cluttered or having people get some kind of live-action movie fatigue.Reading theS.H.I.E.L.D.TV show thread got me thinking today. Much as I want Marvel to have all their properties back I'm kind of OK with X-Men being in a different universe. I'm sure Whedon et al could work them in the current Marvel movie universe in a satisfactory manner, but it's just not necessary. With the TV show, Ant Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy in the pipeline it's already going to be expanding. It would be really hard to fit the mutants in without it starting to feel cluttered.
Spider-Man needs to get back in the clutch as soon as possible though. Amazing Spider-Man was fucking atrocious. It should have been calledSpider-Man is a complete douchebag asshole who is also super cool and has no trouble bagging the hot chick and nothing makes any fucking sense and every single thing in this festering pile of shit happens by total random chance or stupid fairy dust inexplicably gay bullshit crane power......the Movie...
Spider man is a complete douchbag asshole? so its true to comics. whats your point?Reading theS.H.I.E.L.D.TV show thread got me thinking today. Im betting with the start of the tv show it all goes into the gutter. It's inevitable, right?
I imagine it won't be that dramatic though, they'll realize at some point they've expanded too much and just pare back some of the extraneous franchises. I mean, there's just no way they can keep adding shit and not have some of it end up being awful.
This. Xmen also have a completely different sort of tone compared to the more conventional characters and story that the Avengers spring from. FF could be rolled in, but I honestly would not bother at this point. There is already a lot for the average short attention span American audience member to keep track of in these movies. Eventually the better actors (ie the ones who actually make these things watchable) will get bored if they are not given enough to work with, as well. Keep things to a couple solo movies, with occasional flagship sequals and the occasional crossover movie (which is what I consider Avengers) or shit will rapidly degenerate.Im betting with the start of the tv show it all goes into the gutter.

Yeah, you guys didn't watch the movie. He wasn't a smartass, he was an asshole. There's a difference. He wasn't joking or teasing, deflecting and distracting with humor, he was a dick. In costume and out, start to finish. He wasn't an outcast nerd lashing out with humor, he was a skater/hipster hybrid just being a shitbag to everyone.Yeah, that's what makes the new Spider man awesome in the comics, is that he's a smartass douchebag.
Yeah you're probably right, I didn't watch the movie at all. Someone has a conflicting opinion than my own MUST NOT HAVE WATCHED THE MOVIE THINGS ARE THE WAY I SEE THEM AND ONLY HOW I SEE THEM.Yeah, you guys didn't watch the movie. Absolutely atrocious movie, worse than FF2.
