The only time Carnage had remotely any depth was AXIS carnage and that's a more ridiculous take on the character of him learning to be a hero with his super murdery ways. He's just a relic of the edgy early 90's point in marvel when everything went full edge lord in an attempt to cash in on counter culture and the success of Spawn, I've never understood his popularity.

did they ever explain how Carnage came back after Sentry ripped him up?

or was it Sentry never existed, so Carnage gets to live?

? Carnage's whole thing is extreme acts of violence. He's supposed to make Venom seem tame.
In the show he was was more about morphing into things and being tendrilly - he could easily be recast into a deadpool like character ..

The new Carnage book with him and Toxin dealing with the Darkhold and Carnage trying to become some kind of elder god could work as a sequel, but frankly the appeal of Brock Venom is when he's interacting with Parker and that just isn't going to happen thanks to copyrights. The whole symbiote story is such a complete mess with offspring symbiotes being created then dropped after a run, along with it being passed between multiple people or every new book having some new take on how they should act.

You've had:
-Venom
-Carnage
-Phage
-Anti-Venom
-Toxin
-Mania
-Scorn
-Scream
-Lasher
-Agony
-Agent/Space Knight Venom

what about Maximum Carnage with the Doppleganger thing? Was that related to Carnage in some way? I honestly forget.

Venom movie with Carnage won't work as PG13. Will be downright awful, though it could potentially be awful as R rated knowing how bad Sony is. Will this movie be tied into the MCU?

Yeah it was retroactively revealed that he didn't actually die, he just went dormant as the symbiote slowly healed itself or something dumb like that.

As far as my understanding of it, only in as much as Spider-Man is in the MCU, and he *could* make an appearance (but not likely), but nothing else will cross over. No one in the MCU will mention Venom or the events that happen in the movie, including Spider-Man himself. At least, that's what I think is going to happen. That crazy bitch in the video seemed to indicate that anything could happen, but Feige was pretty clearly not on the same page as her. I'm also pretty sure that the agreement they have is just for Spider-Man, and reportedly Tom Holland hasn't even agreed to any sort of contract for anything besides his main movies.

I also completely agree that if a Venom/Carnage movie is PG-13, it is doomed from the beginning. In my opinion they shouldn't start with Carnage anyway. Too much origin story for Venom himself to worry about why Carnage is around. Unless of course they just give it the old Sony try and fuck it all up like Rhino. I have zero confidence that this movie will be any good, even with Tom Hardy, unless Marvel helps them with it. Which at this point in time, they are not I believe.

So apparently it looks like Spidey: Homecoming 2 is going to take place like minutes after Avengers 4. I guess this is lending credence to the fact that Spidey will become the new "Iron Man" in his relationship with the Avengers.

I don't think we'll really know that until Marvel is on some firmer ground with Sony beyond the current arrangement. You don't make those types of plans with a character you might not even have access to unless they're willing to put him in that role then have him exit it by the end of the one movie, which seems hardly worth the effort.

Regardless of the scemantics of the deal between the two companies, that's really great for Tom Holland. Talk about a huge gift he's been given. I'm sure he'll do everything possible to make it work, so it's just a matter of Sony and Marvel having a solid agreement.

Yeah, that sucks. I feel for him. 69 years together with one person, how could you possibly imagine life without them? That's why deaths are so frequent after the fact. The other person tends to give up.

Joan Lee, Wife of Marvel Comics Legend Stan Lee, Dies at 93

Married 69 years. I hate to say it but it wouldn't surprise me if Stan passes away soon. I've seen a lot of that happen in my family where when one spouse dies the other dies soon after when they are married for a very long time.

Yep, it all went downhill for my grandfather when my grandmother passed away. He was so reliant on her for everything. Seeing a three war veteran (WW2, Korea, Vietnam) who was without question the strongest man I'll ever know just break down and almost give up like that was really hard to watch. Thankfully after a about year he started to come back around and we got another two good years with him before his health finally caught up to him. Lived to the ripe old age of 85 and died with a full head of hair, so at least I have that to look forward to :).

Male balding is tied to the X chromosome so it's maternally inherited. Sorryz.

It certainly seemed to skip a generation in my family.

My grandfather (on my dad's side) was very bald. Well, friar tuck with comb over. My mother's father had a full head of hair.
My father also had a full head of hair.
I started losing it around 20. I went and had that follicle implant surgery that takes a strip from the back of your head and cuts all of that hair into 1-3 follicles each, and plants that hair back in your head where you're balding. The hair on the back of your head will never fall out. It's also a little more course than the hair on the top of your head. However, I should have waited. By the time I was 28, the remainder of my top hair had fallen out, and all I had left was the follicle replacement surgery hair. But then I started shaving my head, and I've now done that for almost 7 years. I'm pretty happy that I made the choice, but I forever have the large smile of shame across the back of my head. Joe Rogan has the same thing.

Mine goes from a little below the top of my ear (also about an inch back), drops about an inch total before coming back up. It's even across the back of my head. It's very visible because I shave my head. Most people don't ever ask about it. Being that it's the back of my head, I usually forget that it's even there. But I explain why I have it any time someone brings it up.
