I just can't wait until they fuckup DA this badly. Take Weekes off'a the writing team, and they've got nothing. And possibly, with him being the lead writer, they've got nothing now.

yeah EA games are now broken down like this

normal $60 game - pleb shit
deluxe $70-80 version - you pay $20 extra for some costumes and basic weapons that become useless after 2 hours
gold, ultimate $100-140 version - deluxe + season pass

Although battlefront 2 is now going the destiny model, where there will only be normal and deluxe, and all maps will be free but they will throw in loot boxes and the like to get stupid whales who like opening hundreds of boxes instead of playing a game to spend $500 every month.

btw I picked up the game for $15 on ps4 last week and have put in a good 30 hours, almost the end of the story. Its still a 4/10 game, but if you really loved mass effect 1-3 you may wanna give it a spin at a < $20 price. There are some truly horrendously bad moments in the game, and the quest designer seemed to have looked at world of warcraft 2007 and said "this is the pinnacle of video game design". Its just hundreds and hundreds of fedex/visit boring ass quests but its letting me binge on a few TV shows I couldn't watch with 100% attention so all good for me. The main story isn't terrible, its not great either but it is kinda cool exploring new planets and shit. Some of the planets are absolutely massive, especially Eos and the frozen planet.

Its not 100% SJW, its more like there were 5-6 writers and one of them was a raging liberal but the rest of them normal so you'll do mostly normal quests where people talk like human beings and then suddenly run into a quest where an alien lectures you on why women are superior to men and how humans are all racist and it just is a "... uh, wtf" kind of thing every now and then. Its actually kinda funny and you can totally tell different people worked on different parts of the game and no one ever tried to make anything cohesive out of it.

Rushing to finish the main story tonight so I can trade it in for $25

After Battlefront 1, there's no way in hell I'd buy 2.

I might buy the next DA game, but not without seven different sources telling me that it's a good game. It's the same as Destiny now, and I'm not saying that because of Destiny 2 .... err Fallout 5 ... errr Anthem.

DAI was not shit, in fact it was quite popular on this forum and I only bought it because of how well received it was here.

I mean yeah just a few short months later Witcher 3 blew it right out of the water, but thats a separate issue.

DAI had some obvious growing pains, and before the release of MEA that's all we thought that they were -- growing pains. I don't wanna go down and list everything wrong with DAI, though. Just realize that MEA brought into the light just how much of shit that FB3 is for RPG games. Great for first person shooters, however.
