I wonder if this really will be the final installment. That last one was a slog to get through.

and all sense of consequence was gone since you knew it was 1 of 2.

And Tom's been in the business a long time. If he wanted to keep it a secret that he's doing a 2 part series, he could probably make sure it doesn't leak.

It really makes no sense why he let it be announced as a Part 1. It's like the Fast and Furious X 2 part, then 3 part (before it got shelved). It just sounded exhausting when Part 1 wasn't that good.

It is going to be the last one with Cruise, that's for sure. No clue if they will end it outright or pass the torch on to Atwell.

I was wondering if they'd kill him off, too.
If they don't, he'll take over and let a younger group do all the in-the-field shit while he hands out Missions and/or Recruiting. I can't see them getting away from this premise. I grew up watching the TV show where the cast changed hands, but the premise was always the same. And it worked.

On a small tangent: It's exactly what I want from future D&D movies. Give me a new party, going on their own adventure, in the D&D world. Maybe have cross-overs, or bring back the Dungeon Master from the cartoon. All good.

This is going to be metal!
I watched all of the movies over the course of a month or two on streaming a few months ago. I remember watching the very first one with my dad in the movie theater back I think when I was in high school. I think the worst one is the second one that some Oriental director made it, and it was really bad, but then they became pretty good after that.

I'm honestly looking forward to it, but oh my God he's looking pretty old. He's got to be in his 60s now?

The scene I started this preview at has me wondering. Not sure of the city but pretty sure that is a nuke. I wonder if that is the AI showing Ethan what could happen as opposed to it actually happening.

Were these ever good? Or just John wick before John wick?

Depends what you mean by good. The first one was actually a noir art film, second was 90's John Woo that was only ok and hasn't aged too well, others are fun heist/action flicks. I'd say the Rotten Tomatoes rankings are at least directionally accurate.

Pretty spot on. The first two were trash.

I haven’t seen a MI that I remember anything except 1 and whatever one had a super long no cut running scene and the fake face masks that are undetectable and real bull crap…

Is it worth watching as a complete series? Is there an overall arching plot?
