An additional MLB.tv endorsement here, really liked it while I had it (not really sure why I haven't bought it for this year?).

Cashman is claiming the Yanks are out on any real big moves this July. While I usually wouldn't believe him think he may be sincere here this year. Team finally has a solid crop of prospects nearing the majors in Judge, Severino, Bird, Mateo, and shit even Gary Sanchez is starting to wake up a little again. Usually on the "if you can get proven high-level talent then make the trades", but I am firmly against moving any of the current ones. It will be interesting if Cashman would turn down potential trades with Chapman or Kimbrel. Pairing one of those guys with Betances & Miller would be completely insane, all for it as long as the Top 4 prospects don't get touched.

Very curious to see who bites on a potential David Price deal, surely he will get the biggest haul. Also, Greinke has been insane. Bryce definitely has that douche-personality, but he does have a somewhat fair point. Was getting some 90s Braves strike-zones last game. Hope he breaks the record though, we will see.

With the royals rotation looking the way it is right now I'm starting to come around to them making a move for one of the big name pitchers. As long as we don't sell the farm for a fucking career ~4 ERA starter. Either pick up an ace or don't bother

I don't see them (yankees) making any huge deal because what they need the most is another high end position player and it doesn't look like there are any. I don't think they are going to blow the bank over Cespedes. Their starting pitching is ok not great but because their bullpen is so good, you can probably get by with the pitching that they have.

KC is dead last in the AL for number of Quality Starts, yet has the best record in the AL. If we picked up a legit ace, we'd run away with this thing. However if we dont, the wheels may fall off the bus by the end of the season. We're just starting a stretch of 18 games in 17 days(zero days off) and we can't keep using our bullpen to pitch 4-5 innings every single night, those guys are going to wear down and start failing at some point (yesterdays 8 innings pitched by the bullpen didn't help, starting a rough stretch of games like this)

The division is yours pretty much by default. The Twins have been very impressive given their lack of overall talent, but this barely over .500 ball we've played so far is about the apex of what the team is capable of and we're not going to be buyers this deadline beyond something minor. Impressive year but we're still a team all about the future.

I'd look for pitching with some clutch playoff experience, because it really should be smooth sailing for you guys in the second half.

I still can't tell from watching it, but it looks like it was just a strike and dude acted a fool.

Already minus four everyday players and right-hander Stephen Strasburg, Washington lost third baseman Yunel Escobar to an apparent left hand or wrist injury during his at-bat in the second inning. X-rays were negative, but Escobar will have further tests.

Even when the gif is slowed down, I still can't see it making contact with him.

Votto went 5/6 with four walks in yesterday's double-header. Since the All Star break, Votto is 14/26 with eight walks. It's a lost Reds season but damn am I glad Votto is back.

It begins.

Astros to acquire Scott Kazmir

Athletics starter Scott Kazmir is headed to the Astros in the year's first major trade, Oakland has announced. Returning to the A's in the deal are righty Daniel Mengden and catcher Jacob Nottingham, per the release.

I like the move. Now go get Adam Lind for a similar price and kick Singleton and Carter to the bench/minors.

Wondering who the Mariners will dump, since having a team filled with top talent is not a recipe for success. At least for the Mariners its not.
