He only left the batters box when the ump had his mask off to yell at the dugout. Eject the coach if you want (though they never do unless they get up in the umps face).

All he did was initially say he didn't like the call, and he wasn't ejected for that so its a non-issue. Fuck, he didn't even make eye contact with the ump when he commented which is exactly the right way to protest a call like that.

I think he got booted because after the ump told him to get back in the box, he just stuck his toe just over the line into the box, pretty much directly provoking the ump after jawing at him too. I think it was justified.

Astros split 4 game series with Detroit. I'll take it. One of their call ups, Preston Tucker, making his case for not being sent back down. With the exception of Friday night and one mistake on Thursday, Houston's bullpen has been outstanding in this series. Bring on Baltimore!

Rangers sweep the yankees! Scored a total of 30 runs from 40 hits in the series. Really looking forward to see how their offensive numbers look compared to the rest of the MLB for May. April was easily the worst.

One more day of May to go, they're looking pretty fucking ace besides the bullpen / Feliz situation which seems to be resolved with Tolleson taking the closing role.

Ive been going to dozens of games a year at Wrigley field for a long time and I cant recall a series where there were so many of the other team's fans at the game. There were easily 2-3 Royal fans for every Cub fan there. It was impressive. No idea if KC fans travel that well usually or it was just a special occasion. Hell even when the Cardinals and White Sox are here it's usually no more than 50 / 50 fan representation. For the most part the KC fans seemed to be happy folk and chill.

Really enjoyed watching the Royals play. They remind me of those early 2000's Twin grind them out play great defense teams.

Scout out of High School, "I don't have a grade for his power. That would be rude."

Nice to get a look but he's still 1-2 seasons from being ready.

Gallo has way more power than Olt.

Also Olt had (has?) eye problems.
No doubt Gallo has more power no idea on the glove. Olt can pick it. Before he was traded to the cubs in the Garza deal he was recovering from a concussion he received from a ball to the head in winterball. The Cubs figured out it was a torn tear duct which got fixed late last year. He was just getting back into the grove this April when he broke his hand in Colorado paving the way for Kris Bryant. The man has balls because he, without bitching, stayed on the Cubs roster with a broken hand for three days or so to make past the call up date for Bryant. Hope he comes back 100%. He would be a decent power hitting , obp 1st or 3rd base for someone.

Gallo's first 2 swings in the Major League have been a 2 RBI single and a 2 Run homer, off Smarjzda

Jesus he crushed that thing.

Edit: And he apparently hit his double hard enough that the guy who plays the home run music thought it was gone and started it up. Then it hit the top of the wall.

At any rate, talk about living up to the hype.

Also, I have learned that supertouch is well loved at Lone Star Ball. Well loved I tell ya.
