The astros are still in the wildcard race at least. If the twinkies werent so bad at winning, perhaps they'd have a chance. Also boo at the person who said minnesota never did anything. Twinkies have one of the most thug world series wins in the history of mankind. They did everything short of stabbing people before the game to cheat their way to a win against the braves in 1991.
Yeah. Truth. But I was 3 and 7 during the Twins two series wins. I have vague memories of that but no real attachment to those teams. The Twins criticism was really just an indictment on MN sports in general though. They were a pretty competent franchise through much of 00s. Four 90 loss seasons in a row get you to forget about that pretty quickly though.

It's time to stop fucking using Holland. Send him back to the minors or something, but he is fucking awful right now

Rangers have turned into a monster team. They've been quite good since the allstar break, but crazy good the last month. They're definitely surging hard at the right time.

I'm sure josh hamilton will figure out a way to get into a game and take out all of their dugout with one thrown bat.

So that 2nd AL Wild Card slot is the only real playoff race left. Bucs/Cubs jockeying for 1st/2nd WC slot in the NL but they're both basically in.

Royals have done everything possible in the past month to play themselves out of the 1 seed in the AL. Looks like they are going to succeed

Yep, Royals are 6-12 in the month of September so far...not the way you want to close out a season. A month ago we were on pace for 100 wins, now I'm wondering if we even get to 90

The Blue Jays dropped two of three to the Red Sox at home this weekend, seems like no one wants to be top seed. If the Jays keep up like this there's a good chance the Yankees might catch us again.

Hopefully. I'm hoping for anything that decreases the odds of the royals having to play the blue jays in the post season

We'll see. To have any shot the Yanks need to at least take 2 of 3 and even then I don't know how I feel about it. We still have the Red Sox on the schedule who are playing very well, Jays just need to deal with the Rays and O's the rest of the way.

Sweep the Astros... get blasted by Mariners...

Baseball man. I do like this team's chances though. Not sure they have it in them to make a full playoff run but that 2010 team didn't look like much either.

Thank fuck Houston took 2 out of 3 from Oakland. Even with an Angels sweep, everything will likely come down to that weekend series with Texas. Not optimistic, though. Texas is 12-4 v Houston this year, with 3 sweeps.

People who flip out about baseball make me giggle. One game doesn't mean shit. It was felix pitching so it was a designated working day off. Profundis is right. It's gonna come down to rangers vs astro unless one team falls apart completely (unlikely)

There's only around 15 games left for most teams. If your talking 2-3 games seperating some of them individual games get magnified.

Yeah, it's silly to say 1 game doesn't matter at this point in the season, it absolutely does

What's even worse is I think they only played one team above .500 during that stretch, and it was the twins which are barely above
To finish the season they have 1 game against the Cubs and 3 against the twinkies. The rest are sub .500

This Yanks-Jays serious is gonna be dope. A-Rod & Price just had a great duel. In a perfect world, Yanks sweep, but its cool to see how much excitement is in Toronto right now.

I swear to christ, if I never see Albert Pujols hit against Houston again, I will die a happy man. He just hit his 556th homerun, and his 50th against Houston in his career.

Miller blowing the save then getting bailed out by having 3 runs scored in the 10th was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Yankees need to win tomorrow!
