He's a huge source of national pride in that country, so most people love him. Now I could see a lone wacko a la John Lennon's assassin, trying to get notoriety. But this involved multiple people and was clearly part of an assassination attempt, which suggests there was some strong personal or political motivation behind the attack.

After years of building, I think the White Sox might actually have something next year. Outside of the wretched pitching, this team has been pretty fun to watch which I haven't said in a long time.
