The starting pitching has been crazy good. You get Severino back, and Nestor the Molester all the sudden becomes an ace type pitcher - it makes your team a lot better. Defense was improved by a switch at catcher, and IKF at shortstop. It's a deeper team, with really great pitching right now. The big story in March was the Judge contract negotiations and I got to wonder now how much that's biting the Yankees in the ass with the year he's having. Even Stanton is hitting (when he's healthy). It just seems different this year but it's really because the pitching. Health will be a huge factor going forward.
