This Dodgers win a big boy World Series (the Yankees give baseball one of it's most embarrassing performances) - with their eyes set on much more. Is the incompetency of California's elected officials the only thing that can stop them?!

Since we can only do one poll... Let's make some predictions:
Who wins the AL West, AL Central, and AL East?
Who wins the NL Central, NL East, and who finishes 2nd in the NL West?
Who wins the AL MVP?
Who wins the NL MVP?
Who wins AL Cy Young?
Who wins NL Cy Young?

Dodgers are currently +300 to win the 2025 WS.

I got these late last year after the Dodgers won the WS on a drunken night in Vegas.....back then they were +400!

If voting for incompetent leaders is the only thing I can do to make baseball competitive and worth watching...I guess I need to vote for incompetent leaders.

"Hmmm, which of these candidates proposed the most fire department cut backs, specifically in LA?"

Edit: looks like Michael Kopech is expected to miss the first month of the season. I imagine this likely played a role in getting Yates.

Jeez, that seems like taking money. I might have to jump on that.

Yeah it's crazy, I got those shortly after the WS was over......and since then they've added.....Snell, Sasaki, Scott.....and most of their 2024 roster is returning?

At +300 that means the wager is that the Dodgers have a 33% chance of winning the WS, which is probably about right, but it sure does seem like it's 50%+ at this point. They are stacked.

I think the biggest loss may be not having Enrique Hernandez for the playoffs. He's very average during the regular season, but always great come playoffs.

Edit: fucking LOL at the boards auto correct of Bagel Eater

Whoever voted against Ichiro should be expelled from the BBWA, or whatever the voting group is. Wonder if it's the same dude who voted against Jeter.

I read once a sportswriter who said he didn't vote for a person who he thought was a shoe in, so that he could use his votes to try and help others get in... I dont remember who it was though
