I was 6 years old when this game was played: I remembered, incorrectly, that Gibson’s home run won the entire Series. Which, of course it didn’t.

However, according to my dad, it DID set the tone for the rest of the Series. Athletics were odds on favorites to win it that year. The walkoff homerun made people realize the dodgers could maybe pull this off.

That As team should have won 3 straight based on talent... they did a documentary or a 30 for 30 or some shit on that team. Pretty sure that was the As team that played a cross bay series with the Giants when during one of the games there was an earthquake iirc

I believe that was 89 when the quake happened.

going back to the A’s themselves,
It’s interesting watching Canseco, knowing he was already on the juice at this time

Announcers talking about how he could do it all

Just looking at him and how different his physique is compared to other players
