This is one retirement I actually believe. When a guy like Khabib says he promised his mom he's done, he's done.

Khabib is an overall boring fighter, but its almost like Mayweather in a way, where people also said he was boring because he was a defensive genius and often boxed his way to victory. Khabib wrestles and controls you, and often times submits you, which can be boring.
But they are so highly skilled in their respective fields you HAVE to take your hat off to them and respect their game. There will never be another Mayweather type defensive fighter as dominant and there will never be a wrestler/grappler like Khabib.
Could Khabib be beaten by a BJJ wizard? Im thinking thats the only way you could theoretically beat him. His endurance and strength allow him to overwhelm opponents and outlast them. He also has an incredible chin. The only way I could see him losing is if he gets caught in something. Like, lets say Gordon Ryan was an MMA guy and used his lethal guard to neutralize and eventually submit Khabib? Could it happen? (obviously Ryan isnt an MMA fighter and would have no chance, Im just talking that high level of BJJ could maybe solve Khabib)

What makes Khabib special is his wrestling, and wrestling allows Khabib to dictate where the fight happens. Khabib grapplefucks people because that's where he knows he's better. If you downsized Gordon Ryan and gave him equal striking skill to Khabib what you'd get is a kickboxing match. Khabib would use his wrestling to guarantee that Ryan never got close to his legs.
