think Reem is still a big enough draw to be worth it, but don't think they care with ESPN deal.
Think rizen wants to sign him, maybe a chance for uberreem 2.0 lol

Exactly. If I was making $400k just to show, theres not much incentive to win lol.
I dont disagree that this isnt a good time for Reem to hang it up, but going into the fight he just lost, he won 4/5 and the one he did lose outta those 5, he was like 10 seconds from a decisive decision before he got caught and even then it prob wouldnt have been stopped if he didnt have that fluke injury.

The fact it's two heavyweights, and they can now confirm JDS was cut over not taking the short notice fight-- to me that means its extremely likely both were cut over the same issue.

Agree with Bruuce, Overeem earned the right to go out on his own terms. Just waiting for the other shoe to drop regarding the Overeem cut, and that'll reaffirm my mission to continue to avoid giving ESPN+ money. Muscling one fighter over a short notice turn down, alright I can understand lashing out to make an example out of your "employees". But punching both guys out when they've done relatively well lately is garbage.

If Glory wasn't in such sorry shape, it would be interesting to see them sign Overeem.

JDS was also on a 4 fight skid, which is pretty shaky ground to doing anything other than saying yes sir, no sir, and right away sir.

wonder what the ufc record for KO losses in a row is
Did a little searching, as far as I can tell that's it. There are guys with more KO/TKO losses and more consecutive losses, but no one else with four consecutive KO/TKO losses.

Outside the UFC, Kazuo Takahashi has 5 consecutive (and 12 of his last 17 fights, ouch).

This guy looks like he thinks he's in a mob movie or something with the hand gesture

Was fun seeing him get faceplanted into concrete.

so if you lose a fight, you double down in embarressment and go ahead and sue the guy

I talked about it with a friend. We decided after taking an L like that-- what else are you going to do?

There is literally no other way for him to get his respect back for getting his ass kicked so badly after acting tough. It's literally just cops to try to scuff up the guys life who beat his ass.

at this point, youre bringing in a possible class (as in middle/low) into this, thats why ppl don't beat up rich guys, cuz they can afford to sue you.

if there was no video of the mma bros, pwn'ing the football faggots and there was no such thing as gofundme, they'd be fucked

100% yep without the video he'd be fucked. Since all there would be for evidence is statements + the broken orbital. It'd be a slamdunk case for the DA.

With the video, charges might even get dropped. From what Ive seen though, they have a problem with the number of blows.

I didn't really think it was excessive considering he was already bloodied up before it started. 3 punches total? maybe 4?

That card is just so insane from top to bottom. Half those guys do headlining fights and are openers for this one.
