Derrick Lewis will face Ciryl Gane in an interim heavyweight title fight in the main event of UFC 265 on Aug. 7 in Houston, per Dana White
Opening odds Derrick Lewis +275 Ciryl Gane -325

Once it was clear Ngannou couldn’t fight on Aug. 7, he was asked and accepted Sept. 25 versus Lewis, sources say. UFC went with the IC title fight on Aug. 7 instead.
Just to be clear, the creation of an interim title on Aug. 7 will not impact Ngannou’s status as the undisputed champion.

Gane will not be able to hurt Lewis at all. He might win a clean decision, relying on a ton of teep kicks and movement, but Lewis might just walk through everything and tee off. Will be interesting.

Supposedly after the infection set in and multiple debridements hadn't gotten it under control, they were pushing Alex Smith pretty hard for an amputation and he flat out refused.

Weidman definitely doesn't have NFL QB money, but from the article it sounds like he's well past the primary danger zone for amputation.
