I watched Maia/Shields in double speed so I probably missed some of the intricate stuff, but that shit was boring. Both guys just negated eachother's BJJ too well.

DHK punch was a huge OH SHIT moment. Was awesome.

Yep. I love Paul Harris as a fighter but that shit needs to stop.

It also gives him a competitive edge because if fighters know he's going to crank for 2-3 seconds after the ref ends the fight they'll tap sooner.

By some accounts he's *really* stupid. Like, probably a little bit retarded level of stupid. Not Rousey type stupid, but borderline disabled. Not sure if this is based on fact or just the way he acts. Remember when he decided the Dan Miller fight was over despite Herb not stopping it? So he's climbing the cage an celebrating and shit? Or the whole Marquardt debacle?

Doesn't excuse this bullshit, but it makes it make more sense if true.

Yeah but he's a bit of a jujitsu wizard. Maybe the idiot savant of leglocks. He probably taps someone out 100 times a day in practice. He should know how to release a lock. And maybe the UFC needs to show him how to let someone go.

Glad to hear he is getting punished. I was only mildly shocked when I watched him to do it yet again last night. I was really hoping Pierce would fight slightly less retarded then that, but my hopes were dashed.

Shields vs. Maia was boring as shit. I appreciate a good ground fight, but that just was not one of them. They completely cancelled each other out which just led a whole lot of nothing.

Yeah I'd bet good money Dana White warned him in no uncertain terms to knock that shit off or else permaban. Everyone knows he holds those leg locks longer than he should for a competitive advantage (like Tuco pointed out) and everyone has been telling him to knock that shit off since the first time he did it. I guess he thought plausible deniability would let him keep gaming the system. I am glad Dana did this and it's a good business decision, but if there is ever a fighter's union it would need to nip this kind of shit in the bud day 1.

I didn't think this one was that bad. I think people are jumping on it because his offences before were so bad. It looked like they were tangled up because of the ref I don't think he was cranking on it that long after the tap.

Yeah you can see Pierce relax then grimace again. Damn. I feel bad for the guy since he is literaly from the gutter. Hes like a child and just does what his coaches tell him to do, I wouldn't be surprised if he only lets go when he hears his corner yelling at him to.

There was an article from a grappling tournament where someone had fake tapped to get him to let go and he did. Then his coach said he was going to unleash the beast and let Palhares do his thing, he ended up fucking the next guys knee up pretty badly.
