Eat shit you faggoty spastic retard. Who the fuck said we should applaud the terrible fights we get from women's mma? BTW, the previous fight between Holm and Pennington was fine. Women's MMA is going to take years to develop into something with as much depth as one of the male divisions, and in the meantime we'll get a lot of one sided maulings, just like we did when the men's divisions were in a similar undeveloped state. I never said we should be cheering shitty 13 second fights, I'm simply saying we should acknowledge the reality that women's mma is going to take years to develop to the point that we want it to be at, and it's going to be a rough ride to get there.

We've been acknowledging that reality for years already. The fact it's that mens MMA was bad twenty years ago doesn't justify women's MMA being put on the same stage as ittoday.
Every time Ronda runs through some overmatched shitty fighter that never should have been in the cage with her we get the same excuses. I'm not really arguing against women's MMA in general, I'm arguing against the retarded excuses. Your argument is akin to excusing a car that explodes and kills people because a similar model car from another manufacturer exploded and killed people in 1993. Guys, you have to give the new car a break because a long time ago when that kind of car was first out it was bad. Basically just stop making excuses for shitty women's fights and accept them at face value as shitty fights. Check your privilege and judge them equally.

How long do you think it takes a fighter to train up to the point where they could legitimately beat Rousey? Right now Rousey is fighting girls that are in their early 30's and have fought mostly in local promotions as a sideshow. Very few, like Alexis Davis, have legitimate worldwide competition credentials like the Olympics. And in that case what did Rousey do? Clobbered her on her feet, then judo tossed her. Some of these women may be talented in one aspect, but they are not true mixed martial artists like the men of today. Even Rousey is using her other weapons to bring her opponents to her comfort zone. There are teenagers training right now that are going to up the competition to the level you see in the men's division, and that's because WMMA has been a viable career for only 3 years.

Carmouche had Rousey in trouble at 157, Tate made it to round 3 at 168, the stoppage against McMann at 170 was very questionable. So it's not like she's crushing cans every time she steps into the octagon. I don't know what the fuck possessed Zingano to just charge at her like a moron.

How bad must it feel to lose in such a dumb fashion? We've all made mistakes, some big ones, some small ones, but probably few so quick and decisive and against our training and preparation that ended our chance to 'make it' like that. You've got to feel miserable in ways I can't imagine.

I imagine it doesn't feel bad at all to essentially assassinate your opponent via Razor Armbar.
I doubt the Women's 135 lbs division is ever going to have a lot of KO potential strikers, the belt matches are probably going to come down to Decisions or submission artists.
Find someone that's a master technician like Rhonda, who doesn't go around throwing soggy dynamic knees, without sizing her opponent up (the 10, now 11 time defending champion).

I bet winning like that is great when you don't have anything to prove like Ronda. No injuries, can party immediately after, train the next day and fight as soon as the UFC can hype up a fight. Plus if she gets in a brawl she could damage her face which is a big part of her brand.

You can say that Cat similarly has a quick recovery time, and maybe she reevaluates her game--you know it sucks but its really not the worst thing in the world. She can get another shot, its certainly not unheard of.
