Nick: can't tell how much is CTE and how much is weed ( Raughs.JPG )

agree with Matt Serra on Cain/Francis

Dana confirming what we all already knew: they DGAF about the drama, they want to sell fights, he only wants Conor on time so they can sell the 'Conor Show'. Dude generates his own hype, no matter how batshit insane it is. Same reason they'll keep giving JJ chances. If Stipe created drama the UFC would be all over his cock. It's sad to say, but it's the truth. The UFC hasn't been about 'good fights' or fairness within divisions for a while now

Conor McGregor's Dolly Attack was Giant Publicity Stunt, Lawsuit Claims

UFC fighter Michael Chiesa claims Conor McGregor's steel dolly attack was a publicity stunt intended to hype his fight with Khabib ... and now he wants ALL of Conor's UFC 229 profits.

Long story short ... Chiesa (who was injured in the bus attack) claims NY law bars people from profiting from criminal activity and requires them to turn over ill-gotten gains to their victims. It's called the Son of Sam law.

In new court docs filed by Chiesa, the UFC fighter argues the April 5 dolly incident drove up interest in UFC 229 and boosted sales of Conor's Proper 12 whiskey brand, so all profits should be handed over

=====

lol

This is accurate reporting. In NY you can't profit off of crime. No book deals, etc.

He has a good case and the law is on his side. Conor might have to come up with that bread.

LOL. So he tests positive again for the same shit as last time, but they still let him fight this time just move it out of Nevada. The fuck?

UFC 232 moved to L.A. after Jones' test results

Edit: Apparently it is leftover in his system from his 2017 test? Weird

Jon Jones tests positive for trace amount of Turinabol, UFC 232 moved to California one week out

According to a report by MMA Junkie (which was corroborated by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto), Jones tested positive for a trace amount of DHCMT, also known as Turinabol, earlier this month. USADA head Jeff Novitzky called this a “pulsing” effect, basically stating that it was still in his system from his 2017 positive test that netted him a 15-month suspension. It is not a new ingestion, and it was a pictogram - basically an extremely tiny amount. So he has not violated USADA rules.

The ufc is so fucked from a event goers perspective, all the flights/hotel rooms on that short of a notice? Loooool. So much for any DC rematch im sure DC will never touch a jones fight again with this shit.

it's not "left over in his system" They would have found it during all the other tests he's taken in the past 15 months... Not to mention have you ever heard of this happening to anyone else? No? of course not. Amazing how the UFC with it's massive roster of previous steroid abusers somehow avoided this until it happens when steroids are in Jones system..

Please Dana and USADA stop insulting our intelligence. If you are going to give Jones what is now essentially be a lifetime pass just quit the whole "drug testing" charade.

I work in event management and i totally did not consider this. It will cost them a fuckton. The Arena and associated fees are already paid at this point and won't be returned. They will also have to lose deposits and likely have to pay them for a ton of non booked/returned rooms as generally, the event host will effectively reserve a large portion of hotel space. even if those rooms get subsequently sold it won't matter if they have a contract like everyone i've ever seen.

Don't most states follow Nevada and it's rulings? Why move the fight when Cali could say fuck off also?

I have to assume that Dana and the UFC checked with the California Athletic commission to make sure he would be licensed before they announced the move.

I wonder if the displaced fans have grounds for a lawsuit. There must be thousands of people screwed out of travel expenses.
