I couldn't get enough of Rampage in Pride and early UFC. But the dude just started to fight for extra cash in his pocket. Glad to see him gone from the UFC. Anyone else see the article on how close Dana was to signing a Brock vs Fedor fight? Tired of HEARING about all these super fights but never actually being able to see one
Phil Davis is too nice. He needs to get a chip on his shoulder and to start wanting to hurt people. And to get a good muy thai trainer. He would be terrifying if he had some good kicks.

This season of TUF is really damn good. They must have gotten a new show-runner, producer, or director (i dunno what they call it in TV land). The interviews, cinematography, and story lines they are building with the fighters are very different and much better than any other season of TUF. The most character development we got in seasons past was putting the camera on the biggest drunken shit head in the house and watching him break stuff.
The opening episode they made it more about the Fighters and less about the Fights. This is an important distinction, when you realize we are watching a bunch of nobodies who we do not care about. Each guy got camera time, they brought in their families, and suddenly you were rooting for someone. The fights happen regardless, but caring about one guy or the other is where the true magic is.
This season of TUF is must see TV once again.

I still haven't watched the new TUF yet either. I've been meaning to and had nothing going on last night when it came on but I totally forgot about it. I'm stoked about the card this weekend though...I'm just tired of folks calling Aldo vs. Edgar a super fight.

First episode was good. Uriah Hall looks like a monster. Him and Bubba McDaniel are the two fighters this season I've heard of, so there's my picks. HOWEVER! The cameras they used for the in-fight recording were fuckin' weird. And jumpy. I did not care for that shit, I want proper sports camera work for fights not some fucking Private Ryan shaky cam bullshit.
Aldo is the FW champ, Edgar was the LW champ. It's a super fight. A tiny tiny superfight. Who cares how it's labeled?

They both have a couple of wins by TKO, but not at a high level. That said after how badly Rashad embarassed Phil on the stand up, I hope he has learned his lesson.
