You might be giving me a reasonable and well thought out reply that explains everything, but that's just words. Anderson Silva and Shane Carwin should fight cans every weekend.
That'd be fucking hilarious. It'd be like the old WWF days, where the Ultimate Warrior came out and smashed some 120lb dude who looked like he kicked outta boot camp because he couldn't do pushups.

That's not a raise. One was a brilliant parody performed with panache and the other was just hilarious by sad accident=P

Just made my pics for Saturday...jesus christ that is a stacked card.

Also the pool doesn't seem to be working. Won't let me join/re-join.

Damn it, the first worthwhile thing to ever happen in WMMA and I missed it.
Its free on ustream now. Apparently the streaming screwed up when it was live and now the company has made it free.

Aside from the nipslip there were some pretty good fights, including a bloody brawl between Alexis Davis and Shayna Baszler(who I think is the hottest female in MMA... yeah I know I have different tastes from other guys) anyway, check it out.

Picks are upfor the first event. This weekend's Strikeforce card. Almost every fight has like a 90%+ favorite. Par for the course for Strikeforce really.

GET UP INS HERE!

So Mousasi is talking about how he'd be willing to go to 185 to fight Anderson. Anyone remember 3-4 years ago when he won the Dream MWGP and immediately jumped to 205 because he was still growing and he wanted to be fighting at HW within 2 years?

Holy balls, those pick percentages are crazy. I don't think I have ever seen that many multiple 95%+ fights. Shit, 2 of them are 98% and 2 are 99%!

I think a ton of people want a shot at Anderson in hopes of being the one that finally catches him. I mean his aura of invincibility is probably higher than Fedor's was at his peak. So guys want that chance to be the one that puts an end to his streak. They figure he is getting older and has to screw up at some point, and they want to be the one to do it.

Or possibly I just don't know fuck all about it and I am talking out of my ass.

Watching Fedor fight was like watching a Bruce Willis movie where you think 'now how is going to get out of this alive'.

Watching Silva fight is like watching an Arnold movie where you think 'oh his opponent done messed up now'.

I agree with you though. I think there's a reason why so many people talk about fighting A. Silva, but so few people that I'm aware of talk about fight JJ.

Brock Lesnar's MMA career retold through photoshops.

Knockouts of the year.

All UFC highlight BTW. And it just reminded me of two things. Chris Weidman's awesome elbow on, and savage beating of, Mark Munoz. And Pat Barry's right on DelRosario is one of the meanest punches I have ever seen. I expect his jaw to spin around his head Daffy Duck style every time.

I still think that spinning back kick by Barboza was for sure the best one. That shit was on point. All that said, the counter elbow by Weidman was absolutely sick.

Damn I must have missed that Cub Swanson KO @12:00. Looks like scene cut straight from a Rocky movie.

Im still loving the headkick by Cruickshank, but I'm probably biased cause that was one of the only events I actually watched this year. That spinning back kick was almost comical, I felt like shouting 'TIMBERRRRRRRR' as the dude fell.

I'll watch that highlight when I get home but Barboza's spinning back kick is almost certainly going to be KO of the year for me.

That ultra-slow mo video floating around with the silly soundtrack just exhibits such a beautiful and perfect kick.

Damn that Pat Barry KO is brutal. Also, who would have expected Mike Pyle to start knocking everyone out at the age of 37?
