Beta was smooth as butter on my regular PS4. They would be cutting out 50%+ of the install base if it ran like dogshit on the older models.

I think we have very different definitions of "smooth as butter". 30fps isn't acceptable for any kind of action game.

The trick to Hammer and Greatsword is sheathing. Greatsword does most of it's damage from draw attacks, so you are basically running around and then finding and opening to charge draw attack. Hammer is similar, depending on the monster and your play style. You can either run around charging up for super pounds or do quick draw attack combos and re-sheath to build stun.

Then you are in the tier of people that would pay a premium for the PSPro hardware for those extra frames. Mine didn't lag, sutter, or tear during any playthrough and, to me, looked great the whole time.

The Framerate was "fine" on my regular ps4 at least to play a MH. I'm not sure but all previous MH was caped at 30 fps. But yeah i can't wait to play it on PC. My main complain so far is that the game is too "bright" for me, idk if it's the blurr, chromatic aberration or just the contrast of the game, but it's way too oversaturated (color) for me. I hope i can fix that with the pc options.

Yeah they aren't even starting development of the PC version until PS4 version is out.

I'll be on the xb1x, and hope the overall game runs better. I will miss not being able to play as Aloy tho.

You'll be waiting until late 2018 and no one will be playing it anymore :D

Someone hasn't seen the JP following for MH heh, these games last forever in Japan(and sell like crazy)

Played it all weekend, 0 problems with either my Pro/Standard PS4 *shrug*

Bro I live in Japan :) No one here plays games on PC.

The people who have been playing it for 8+ months will stick to their PS4 version I wager.

It's not cross platform, you won't be able to play with the rest of us :(

The game isn't going to last most people 8+ months. MH games aren't that long generally, even if you're going for complete sets.

I'd wager most people will have their fill after a few months, and then jump into the larger PC community when it releases.

larger PC community
That seems extremely unlikely even if there was no delay on the PC version, let alone with it requiring people to wait 6-9 months or double-dip. Since it's Capcom, I expect the PC version will still come out at $60 no matter how long the wait is.

I don't think too many will be playing in 8 months, I was replying to FolanIron.

This is going to be one fantastic time on my Ps Pro with you folks. If the beta fun we had is any indication, it's going to be non stop awesome.

If anyone knows, will we be able to play together outside of the hunts themselves? It would be fun to just go around and collect resources together - also, will we be able to trade I wonder? I haven't looked too much into it.

They have said there is free roam and that supposedly you have a time limit for each mission to kill the monster but can stay there to hunt other monsters or gather resources. So unless they do something fucky you should be able to do it with other people.

I haven't heard much about trading in MHW, but in previous titles you could not trade over a certain rarity of item, which was usually set extremely low. Usually no monster parts or rare resources. Everything is pretty much earned by you, which was always a selling point, in my opinion.

Time limits should be more like the 50m ones of other games. 20m was almost certainly just a beta thing.

No doubt the time limit will be increased, I've just heard that you should be able to enter a 50 minute monster mission, beat the monster in X minutes, and then stay there as long as you want which is not like any previous MH games. Plus there is a free roam mode, I just haven't seen that confirmed for multiplayer which would be weird but not unheard from Capcom. Not sure if there will be gathering missions like in previous titles, but those would also be a way to collect resources together.

Two weapons aren't terribly difficult to upkeep unless you don't get good RNG on the rare drops, the problem becomes having two different armor sets unless you go with generic armor skills. Some weapons require very specific armor skills to gain the most benefit.

That being said, if you aren't a mix/max player you should be able to get away with two weapons/one armor set with only minimal extra farming. Later in the game the very rare drops for upgrades will slow your progress down. If you do some planning ahead you could pick weapons that don't use a lot of the same rare mats.

Mainly I just want to have two different movesets. I guess I'll carefully pick what is the easiest to maintain?

Bow+Melee or something maybe though?
