I'm leaning towards light bowgun after watching a few more videos. Not sure how convenient it will be for mostly (90%+ if I had to guess) solo though; it doesn't sound like it's a weapon particularly good for breaking shells or cutting tails and I'd probably end up having to use a different weapon like a lance or charge blade for that.

Unfortunately PSN seems to be semi up/down atm. I'm on the fence, I didn't really like the beta and this doesn't feel like my kinda game but damn watching on twitch makes me wanna play too lol

Just got past Zorah Magdaros. Breezing through it so far except for Anjanath which was a welcome surprise. Other than multiplayer being a little wonky and some frame drops here and there I have no complaints.

Ouch. I was pretty salty that this was the first thing Amazon shipped UPS in years that didn't weigh 50+ pounds because USPS gets to my house first thing in the morning and UPS is lucky to get here by 6PM. Ended up not being home all day anyway though, so at most I lost an hour in the character creator this morning.

Started this up a bit ago and did the first hunt with light bowgun - enjoyed that weapon a ton, think I'll do next hunt with dual blades to mix it up.

Anjanath handed me my ass several times before I beat him, haha. I'll be on all weekend, I'd like to farm up even all the low rank stuff because I'm in no rush and I just overall just enjoy killing monsters.
