My hope is that they release the first version of the game on PS4 and then re-release a expanded version on PC with dozens more monsters, doubtful but I can dream. Similar to how they do for many of the 3DS games.
Also I bought a Elgato HD 60 Pro capture card to stream this so now my purchase doesn't feel wasted since I'll be playing MHW for several months before the PC release.
framerate > fidelity.
Enjoy your HDR at 40fps though.
Good news is I can also play at 1080p60 with super sampling. Honestly, I doubt the PC is going to be anything more than a PS Pro patched version port anyway. However, 40 fps on a 65" 4k HDR on a couch with a theater grade sound system and deep perfect picture? I'll take that over playing in 4k at 60 frames on my 27" Dell Gsync any day of the week for this style of game. And I have the choice between the two.
No you can't. PS4 Pro wasn't hitting 60fps in the beta in framerate or resolution mode, so unless you have some kind of source that says that it's going to be hitting a consistent 60fps in any mode then it's always going to be the inferior way to play it.
I'm not sure why you think PC players can't sit on a couch and use a theatre grade sound system. It's not hard to pick up a low latency TV for PC gaming, and most of them even have display port input specifically for PC.
Ah ok, yeah I have my comp plugged into my tv I just thought they just weren't putting it in.
Do they actually support 4K 10-bit HDR over DisplayPort yet? 8-bit generally has banding and looks awful.I'm not sure why you think PC players can't sit on a couch and use a theatre grade sound system. RE7 PC had HDR support so I would assume they'll have it for MH:W too. Though again, it's pretty much worthless if you don't have a GPU and TV setup that can get 10-bit 4:2:0 color @ 4K.Well I guess they might not... but I presume by the time MH hits PC HDR will have started to become prevalent in that gaming space and it would be supported.
Monster Hunter combat seems sluggish (and that's being really generous compared to games like Bloodborne and Nioh) so I am not too worried about it, especially having played the demo in framerate mode already.I'm not sure that you're super PCMR if you can't understand why sub 60fps is intolerable in an action game.
Dunno man, but the PS4 beta weekends were enjoyable for me, so not having 60fps in this particular game doesn't concern me. Its all good!I'm not sure that you're super PCMR if you can't understand why sub 60fps is intolerable in an action game.
