I played Simic or RUG elementals basically the whole way to plat with a pretty high win rate (high enough that I did it by just doing dailies/weekly wins)
This is the deck I had the most success with

Flood of Tears is an amazing tempo play, or just lethal them, as it does not return Nissa Lands, so you can push a lot of damage with it.

Just play several types of decks and go with what is working for the moment. Don't be afraid to stop playing a deck if your win rate drops with it. Each of the ranks has slightly different metas as well. Making changing your deck every once in a while mandatory. In fact that is what rank four is for. To get the feel for the new meta and make changes if needed.
Teferi on board. You can only cast things at sorcery speed.Somebody help me out with this... There have been several times where my creatures get pwnt and I have mana on the board with instant protections spells I can't cast.

I had a Tajic, Legon's Edge along w an angel on the board and one w/r mana. The opponent cast Shock and targeted Tajic after I declared attackers. I never got the option to cast my instant Sheltering Light protection spell.
Why?

Yeah Teferi 3 is a pretty dumb card. Narset too, the activated abilties are good/fine but the static effects can be game warping on their own.Oh shit. Didn't realize that was the passive on that card. Derp.

Teferi is rare.Yeah, it is part of the massive bullshit they put in with those uncommon planeswalkers.
Teferi is rare.
Sure, but aside from Narset the uncommon ones aren't even played in Standard. I actually thought that the limited format was pretty interesting and actually different due to all the walkers.I know, I meant the push they made with more than 2 dozen new planeswalkers the bulk of which were at uncommon.

I had forgotten about Ashiok, but him and tibalt are fairly fringe. Narset is sees more play than both of them combined by a whole lot.Ashiok sees a lot of play in standard in scapeshift and someone play outside standard too. Oh and Tibalt sees a fair amount off standard play.
