I really wish I could afford the Primevil Titan build. Its about 2-3 turns faster. With that much mana you are better off casting an entwined "Tooth and Nail", searching for a "Xenagos, God of Revels" and an "Emrakul, the Aeons Torn" A hasted Emrakul with +15/+15 is a scary sight.
My deck in modern is also an " Amulet of Vigor" deck, and honestly you are better off going with a build that utilizes "Primeval Titan" and "Hive Mind" as win cons. It let's you go off on turn two fairly often and turn three most of the time. Plus if you go with the version that did well at the pro tour that uses "Simian Spirit Guide" you can sometimes go off on turn one.
Not entirely true. I won a PTQ back durin Ice Age block constructed playing Brainstorm with Thawing Glaciers! Counterpost splashing Stone Rain.Brainstorm is a card I find to be very interesting. It wasn't regarded highly when it was first released (and for good reason, shuffle effects were incredibly far and few between) and I know that it starts to become a problem with Urza Block but I wonder if there was a time prior where it could have really been exploited and just wasn't.
How? Mana was never an issue with prosbloom. It was getting all the different pieces needed to go off.LED would have been solid in a prosbloom deck way back then, but noone at the time ever saw it.
I'm guessing by floating additional mana, but I don't really think 3 mana for a specific card is better than pitching something else useful for 2.How? Mana was never an issue with prosbloom. It was getting all the different pieces needed to go off.
WW was not good against it until aura of silence. And while aura didn't counter the deck it did make it way more difficult to go offYa fuck that deck lol, That deck was the bane of me when i was a newbie just getting into competitive magic during the mirage/tempest era. my white weenie was so sad =(
With darksteel citidal I standard 4/4 trample indestructible sounds cool.New Ajani seems a bit overrated for super friends archetypes but may find a home elsewhere. I'll be trading him away if I get any since a lot of people seem to like him.
The new Nissa, on the other hand, I am actually excited about and want to see what is possible with her. Not sure if she slots into the naya deck I currently run since the five drop slot has Ajani, Mentor of Heroes and Stormbreath Dragon but she will find a home.
It's not no problem. 8 lands out of 25-26 are going to be shock forests. The likelihood of having 4 forests in play to untap on turn 5 is very very low. And then 2 have to be white.Well until Ravnica rotates, bant with shocks will have no problem untapping Forests to cast Verdict.
