Are you actively avoiding red in your many color drafts or is that just how those two worked out?
I'd draft a red-based aggro deck if it was actively being passed to me... maybe. Red is has NO control tools and the worst morphs. Sultabazan is the way.

Current deck, and...already into the finals.

Obviously if you don't see Abzan and Sultai cards getting passed you, you need to move into R/W/x immediately. Like if Ride Downs start getting passed to you, that's a good sign to move in. In every other situation besides being handed Ride Downs as gifts, I'd stick with Sultabzan.

I ended up five color on Friday and looking back on it if I had gone with four colors I wouldn't have lost the round I lost. Unless something really baller shows up avoiding red makes sense for that kind of deck.

Well, if people are passing you giant Temur guys you can usually go 'everything but white.' I'd usually advise AGAINST 'everything but black' just because there's important control cards in black, but it could be done if people kept handing you smites and killshots and stuff.

I amsoooogood at Magic, or my opponents are terrible; it's definitely one of those things.

5th win in a row in 8-4s.

I call this deck:All You Need is Wall.

PS: Anafenza + Alabaster Kirin is a surprisingly huge nonbo.

In 4 color, I'll take lands over anything that's not insane (where insane = [Abzan Guide, Feat of Resistance, the good uncommons, rares]) until I have 5 or so, then hope to pick up 1-2 more.

In 3 color, not super high.

Those first few were super fucking obvious, shocked the guy didn't see it right away. And there is no reason to shuffle that many times unless you're up to something anyway. If you're gonna cheat you gotta learn to cheat better than that :p

Even ignoring the deck rigging, he was looking at the guys' deck openly? The fuck?

Be decent looking (amazing looking for the MTG crowd), work out, be confident, act like this is boring and you have someplace important to be, and it's amazing how little people will question your shit.

In the top 8, everyone has everyone else's decklist, main + side. A bit of a problem peeking at sided-in cards, but that stuff is pretty obvious.

Glancing over that Reddit thread, it looks like people had tried to call him on it previously but there wasn't a camera so nothing came of it? Just judges shuffling in place of him in a few matches?

Is deck manipulation kind of a taboo subject? Sounds like places are very tentative to enforce anything on it.

Unless it has changed there are very official channels those types of accusations have to go through, especially for larger DCI official events. So it's a lot more complicated than just kicking him out and labeling him a cheat.

This guy should have been on red alert already - his opponent in a SCG Invitational a few months back had the judge shuffle his deck after watching this guy doing shady shit - and it was video, too.
