NBA 2013?14 Season

I think the Nets had 3 of them in Game 5 when they were coming back from that 26 point deficit.

I really want to see a Game 7 live and I have tickets to the Spurs/Mavs finale, but of course I'd have to miss the Raptors game to go to it. Ugh.

So glad the Nets won. Now there will be no excuses when the Heat beat the shit out of them in the second round.

Lowry got mauled on that drive. I know the refs tend to swallow the whistle in that situation, but damn.

I knew Gaige would be in here crying about the refs. HE usually only does it after the Heat lose but dude is scared of the Nets. Bet he had an erection after that Raptors steal with 8 seconds.

To be fair, Deron should have fouled out with 3 minutes left but they somehow gave it to KG, who was standing 5 feet away and literally made no motion towards the play.

The tech on Derozan was also surprising.

Pretty brutal timing on both of those.

Nets are going to get destroyed by the Heat - two league darlings.

I'd rather play the Nets tbh. They struggled with the raptors went 7 and almost lost. We've had a week to rest and our entire team is healthy.

Tbh the way it's went so far no one looks poised to beat the heat. West looks bad too.

I don't want to go full conspiracy theory, but it was really weird how they'd call a huge charge or block on the Raptors that would affect the score, then put an off-ball foul on the Nets so there really isn't a disparity in the number of fouls, but the quality difference was huge.

To be fair, it's hard to say we deserved to win that series when we couldn't ever get a defensive match-up for Joe Johnson. We were sloppy on our switches and rotations, and Derozan acted like he'd never seen a double team before. We would have got destroyed by Lebron...we either need to bring in another perimeter defender or Ross/Derozan need to put on some muscle. I just hope Lowry continues to play like this after he gets his payday. (I'm assuming he'll stay in Toronto at this point.)

You know nothing, Gaige Snow. The West has been quality basketball...all 8 teams have been amazing. There isn't a Bobcats on that side to beat up on.

That's because the Heat are that much more talented that everyone else and the NBA lets people just fucking mug LeBron. In a fair 7 game series it'd take almost perfect play to beat the Heat. Like last year, the Spurs got crazy hot from outside but they couldn't sustain it.

Barring injuries I don't think anyone can beat the Heat 4 times in 7 games. I just don't. Maybe in the past before LeBron understood what it took to win, but not after last year with those two huge game 7 performances from him.

Combining that with Wade being healthy and the playoffs this year being so weird I just don't see it. Anyone can lose though, so who knows. I will be here bitching if they lose, of course. I want LeBron to get 4 more rings, maybe 5

Oh please. Just because the West has better teams than the East it doesn't mean that teams like the Spurs and Thunder should be going 7 games in the first round. Even among the west the Spurs and Thunder are normally head and shoulders above.

I'm already sick of the Bobcats shit. Sure they're the Bobcats but look at the rest of the East outside the Washington series. It's not like teams are just beating up on the East bottom feeders... no, they're going 6 and 7 games with these scrubs. Miami would've swept the Hawks or Raptors just like they swept the Bobcats. Probably would've taken 5 or 6 against the Bulls and Nets and who knows about the Pacers never know which team is gonna show up.

Wizards are intriguing not gonna lie. Nene can beat up Bosh and Wall and Beal are legit. I think they're too young though. Also hard to judge based on Bulls series because Bulls have no offense at all.

Heat would've swept the Rockets, probably 5 or maybe 6 against Warriors, 5 or 6 against Mavs and maybe 5 against the Grizzlies.

You overrate all the other teams while simultaneously underrating the two time defending champs.

If the West is so good why do the Heat have 2 out of the last 3 titles?

The Heat really aren't as good this year. Role players are worse, Wade is hurting, and Allen is older. But that's not the point.

Also the Heat being an excellent team doesn't change the fact that the bottom half the West playoffs is far better than the east.
