Haha Tyrone Lue is their big hire? Cleveland is doomed. I gotta admit I have no idea, with so much offensive fire power, what the fuck they were doing under Blatt.

I get the whole maybe he was the wrong coach angle but for fucks sake lets not act like every team Lebron has been on hasn't done the same shit...give Lebron the ball asap and stand around while he does all the work of carrying everyone else. Too bad he's an old 31 now and has fewer games in front than behind left to play.

It's too bad Lebron has as much say in who coaches and what players are on the roster, players should not dictate personnel. Jordan is the GOAT, go ask him how easy it is to put together a winning roster...it's no accident the most successful teams have pretty good GM's that do this shit for a living.

Meanwhile the Warriors are getting their coach back while the assistant coach had them on pace to break the all time wins record.

It'd be nice if the Cavs at least acknowledge this move for what it is- a desperate attempt to appease your supremely physically gifted but mentally frail superstar who you are so paranoid of leaving again that you have given him the keys to the kingdom.

The GM came off as such a beta cuckold during the press conference. Didn't seem like he uttered one honest phrase, it was transparent as shit.

For someone who has such rabbit ears with regards to the media, you think he would be self-aware enough at this point to take a different approach.

Bron Bron is full of shit

I guess the entire organization hopes that if they say it enough, it will become true. One thing is for certain, this year will be one of the most rewarding failures of Bron Bron's career.

Hey, if Lebron says he had no idea the coach would be fired, then I believe him! That seems like the kind of thing management wouldn't consult him over!

Awesome, they got rid of Blatt just in time to lose to the bulls...GG Cavs things are looking up!

Spurs are better than this. They are getting owned in transition. I know there are four minutes left in the first half, but Dubs aren't likely to give up an 18 point lead.

So apparently Lebron tried to get Pat Riley to fire Spoelstra while he was in Miami, and Riley told Lebron to get fucked:

Miami Heat Minority Owner Says LeBron James Wanted Erik Spoelstra Fired | Bleacher Report
Not a confirmed rumor but totally believable if you followed the Heat for those 4 years. This starts with the owner though. Teams like Miami and San Antonio are always going to be well run because the owners trust their GM's and it all goes downhill from there. LeBron probably went to the owner, who told him to go to Riley, who said "nope." A good coach can stay there for decades, but a player is only going to give you a few years of their prime.

Now when it comes to Blatt, he was hired to take over a young team since that happened before they knew Lebron was coming back. He got saddled with a team with a superstar and some veterans instead. I think Lue will look better early, but Blatt will be a better coach once they both get a few more years of experience under their belt. I think if the management knew Blatt was the right hire and had the balls, they would have told Lebron to suck it up or leave again if he dares. I just don't know if Blatt was the right guy.

It's worth noting that guy is said by other sources not to be very close to the dealings of the team and was a co-owner of the Israeli team Blatt used to coach.

Still, while I imagine it's possible Lebron didn't directly tell anyone to fire Blatt (or Spoelstra), I'm sure he probably passive aggressively made his preference clear.

In whosoever defense it was for firing Blatt he was doing a terrible job at putting together solid rotations. I know half our starters were injured for like the first quarter of the year, but come on. He was going back and forth on starters, and not using people efficiently. Do I think it was a dumb move? Yes. Do I think it was a horrendously terrible move? Not really.

Bron gonna Bron. I think the Cavs should trade him.

Thats ridiculous. He is only 31 and is still arguably at the peak of his powers. You wont see a noticable dip in his numbers until he is at least 34.

He is still gonna put up 25 8 5 every night basically and the problems he causes for defenders cant be overstated. The minute the cavs get rid of bron is the minute they go back to being a lottery team.
