Well LBJ has put on one hell of a three game show. Dude is leading points, rebounds and assists while being the only guy capable of dribbling the ball without tripping over it.

The difference this year seems to be he knows damn well he has to carry the load, vs feeling like he shouldn't need to (hi Miami Heat)

Well no, the screens don't look illegal, they are illegal and are just not being called. Just like Dellavadova grabbing Curry, or Iggy mauling Lebron every time he drives. Lets not pretend that Cleveland is the only ones benefiting here though, that's ridiculous. Cleveland is just doing it better at the moment.
There are always a lot of shit calls. It's the NBA. There's always a lot of 'let them play' mentality in the playoffs, as that's how the NBA seems to want it. Stop saying things you think other people are saying, because it's making you look like you're not very intelligent. So, I'll type slower.

The point you're defending is the Warriors are benefiting too. Nobody is disputing this, it goes back and forth, that's the nature of NBA referring.

The point you don't seem capable of grasping is that more physical play is allowed in the playoffs.

Random game calls which may or may not benefit either team,

isn't the same as game planning for the nature of calls in the playoffs,

which the Cavs are benefiting from

because they seem to be better prepared for that fact.

You literally just argued with me, then said both teams are at times benefiting from random calls, then either said the Cavs are doing better at getting random calls (which is a dumb statement) or are agreeing with me. Either way, pull your head out of your Cleveland Brown-eye and start making sense.

The one no-call that drove me wild was when the W's were mounting their epic fourth quarter comeback and Curry had a wide open shot and LeBron just tackled Curry before he got the shot off. Curry lost the ball and it was ran back to the other end. Simply considered a Curry TO. I shouted WTF pretty loud at that one.
That's just playoff basketball as the NBA calls it in the playoffs. It's maddening, but if it's the playoffs and you're passionate, it's not a foul, just good old-fashioned hustle and wanting it more than the other team.

You know, the kind of shit the Cavs fans bitched about against the Celtics they're now defending!

No, that's not what I said. The refs are irrelevant outside of the fact that they're not making calls. You argued that GS has not adjusted to the physical play. I disagree, I think they've also amped up their game as evidenced by the mauling they're putting on Lebron when he drives, the picks they're setting to free up Curry, etc. Cleveland is just better at playing physical.

It's hilarious that you think I'm some sort of Cleveland homer, I literally could not care less who wins this series as long as the games are good. I've repeatedly said I think GS is going to win.

I don't think many of us Cleveland fans are defending the call. I'm not going to complain about a gift. I'll consider it makeup for Game 2 being gift-wrapped to Golden State. I'm not a pro on the rulebook, but Lebron knocked the ball before the slide (Streamable - simple video sharing). Still looks like a foul to me. Otherwise people would commit murder once they touch the ball. Anyways, it might have stopped a critical turning point for GS, but the game is a sum of its parts and not contingent on a single play.

There are garbage calls and no-calls on both teams. Both teams have equal opportunity to adjust and outright win against the fouls.

Edit: Like you said, playoff basketball lets physical play be "legal" way more often than normal. Cavaliers have two extra-motor guys in TT and Delly. Obviously, Lebron is built for bullying his opposition. No one can knock Cleveland for being built that way. GSW chose to build around the jumper, and they'll die by it if they don't start beating the odds on %.

You could post the Iggy hack on lebron. What's your point? It's gone both ways.

You know how to tell when a group of fans know they've lost? They start placing blame everywhere but where it needs to go. I mean the Cavs can't possibly beat the Warriors! It's the refs!! They made us lose!

I'm not assuming you're a Cleveland homer. In fact, I thought I even asked if you were (or just not very comprehensible).

You complain about their screens being rough, I point out they're the same screens they've been setting all year. That's the point. They haven't ramped up shit. In the regular season they had a great defense and seemed just tough enough with Bogut being big and sometimes effective inside, and Green being their emotional player who will yell and shout and pound his chest and occasionally set a hard screen. In general, though, they're playing the same, and when the physicality raised in the playoffs they're proving their actually pretty soft and had nowhere to raise their game to.

I've said many times it wouldn't have mattered anyway. Just maybe not on this forum. Or just read my other responses in this very thread to see me pointing out the Warriors' mistakes.

Believe me man. I'm a Bengals fan. I handle losing very well.

Yeah, that's why I generally don't complain about bad calls. They happen to both teams, too often, and even when my bias wants to create a conspiracy theory my gut doesn't trust the NBA is capable to pull off shit like that.

Just like I don't complain about traveling calls anymore. It's been a long time since the NBA routinely called what I knew to be a travel for most of my basketball and adult life.

Overall the referring is bad and inconsistent. The one thing everyone does know is they're going to allow more physical play. It seems the Cavs game planned for that and were prepared, and the Warriors are acting like it's the first time they've been in a Finals.

Was thinking pointing out that play was more to illustrate how shitty and odd the calls have been, not to start blaming refs on the Warriors effort.

Like the play where the refs made the out of bounds call, or inadvertent whistle, or whatever stopped the clock. Then determined it was Warriors ball when Klay seemed to be touching it out of bounds (was hard to tell if he just got hand or not, but close enough). And then the refs as if an afterthought remembered they could review it. A real wtf moment.

Again, though, Cavs bitch about calls to get makeup calls, which is smart. Warriors have just looked confused at no-calls or personally affected by bad calls. Subtle difference that speaks to planning and coaching, and by coaching I mean whatever Lebron is doing, not the actual coach.

Born in Philadelphia and I live in center city, so I'm a Sixers fan for better or worse.

Granted we don't get that many GSW games here and when we do they're prohibitively late, but I've never seen them run Steph off the screen packages they were using at the end of that game, with 3 guys actively running into trailers to take them out. That's not a complaint against GS or the refs - it was working well and almost got them a W.

Certainly better than it has been. As bad as they were they were a fun team to watch last year.
