Some perks are one character per account or tied to the account (the Astral Diamonds as a whole are to the account and can be claimed in various chunks by different characters) others are for each character. Notably each character gets the purple Companion and mount.

Mounts otherwise cost gold for the base mount and then need to be trained, costs 768k astral diamonds (the main trading currency in the game) for the training to rank 2 and then another 2million astral diamonds from 2 to 3. There are other ways to get mount training I believe, but if you straight up want to buy Astral Diamonds with Zen (aka real $$) then you'd be much much better off buying the founder pack.

Clock Tower was an awful experience. Just long and stupid. I got my GWF wep though. Almost level 19. Looks like I'm running out of quests? Story quest is like level 21.

Cloak Tower is the end dungeon for the first zone, when you get sent back to Sgt Nox he should send you on a couple of things in town dealing with the Linkletter family and then on to the next zone after you finish all that. I never really ran out of content, if anything by the end I was one full zone ahead in terms of level due to having done a couple dungeons and a foundry.

If you are in a good group the dungeons go super fast... if you arent then the trash really slows you down and it becomes a pain.

Just wanted to point out that PWE (while still a shitty cash shop company) is just the publisher and it's Cryptic Studios that designs these mediocre games. And yeah, of course they have a lot of working features, they've been using the same engine for years, it saves a lot of dev time, but you can easily see the major limitations it has.
You realize that Perfect World OWNS cryptic right?

Really? I had a blast in Cloak tower, finding all the stuff for the extra chest, and exploring a well designed Dungeon. Course I was taking my time with a friend rather then power gunning it.

The 50 ogre in platemail foundry had me go from 17 to 21 in a single run as a trickster.

It is called grinding gauntlet.

You just get tons of greens, potions, ID scrolls and silver from this foundry also.
still doesnt get you more bags like the quests do and youll need at the very least the 2 you get from it.

Ditto, all the instances I've done were pretty fun. Simple mechanically, but the game has fun combat so ehhh.

Does anyone know how much crafting relies on those cash shop items that come in the packs? Like the blue/purple smithing hammers that increase quality by up to 40%?

Looks like all the sploit foundry quests are all for ranged AOE classes. Boohoo.
There's actually a few foundry missions like Game of Ogres (Game of Death parody) that has a congo line of well placed single ogres which is great for neglected melee like Guardian Fighter to grind exp.

How so? The ogres are easy to kill for all classes.

If you are worried about potion use just use a man at arms helper since they auto heal after every fight and they will hold agro the whole fight.

You have to kill them one by one which is a lot slower than 5-10 at a time like a CW can do. But yeah they're easy to kill solo and it's still good xp. Questing is pretty fast though, and it's a fuckton less boring. Even though the quests are very basic, I really like the design of the zones, areas, mini dungeons and shit like that. Not everything is a straight corridor, there's a lot of secret passages, mini puzzles(not as good as the DDO ones though) and stuff that makes it pretty decent considering the small size and isntanced nature of the game. Their dungeons are awesome like that too, too bad all of it is mostly trash pack x 15 > boss trash pack x 15 > boss trash pack x 15 last boss, secret technique: summons adds every 33%. For a F2P game I feel their content is very polished, lots of details and shit, which is a bit surprising when I compare to most F2P games I have played(most of which were koreans) which generally involve non descriptive rooms and corridors.

I still haven't spent money on this and it's still not really bothering me, while paying definitely gives you a huge advantage, the difficulty seems to be tuned for people who don't pay unlike what you'd expect, which makes it pretty alright to just fuck around for free. I was very pessimistic about this game and didn't expect to play it but since I was bored I picked it up and changed my mind, I think it's surprisingly good. It's not like THE best game, but for a few weeks of play it's nice, and since it's free there's no buyer remorse like when I grab a mmo, play it for 2weeks then never play it again.

Combat is really good too, somehow. The animations are terrible but once you get used to that it's responsive, fast paced and pretty fun. I still rate TERA's combat higher(at least once you had some attackspeed%) but still very good.

Just did the pirate king dungeon with the most faceroll group, 2clerics, 2rogues and me as a tank. I started using Into the Fray to check it out, shit's pretty cool, gives a massive movement speed buff to the group and makes everyone generate AP faster, can generally get 2 daillies off per pull, shit dies super fast and you can use it to move to next group faster too. Also useful for boss when the healer has adds on him. Tanking is pretty fun in this game, more so than in TERA. The fact you can attack while blocking, that you get a no cooldown charge that also generates aoe mark stuff(for threat and increases damage) and that you can actually solo properly is pretty big.

Hit 21 last night and my GWF is pretty great with the cleric companion. Going all defense on this character makes him less squishy. I'm having trouble settling on my encounter skills though. So far I keep using the AOE sweep you get at level 1, slam and I'm messing around with the shout you get at 20.

And holy shit the mount makes this game so much better. The 60$ is worth it just for that alone.

Edit: Oh now I have to figure out how to do that crafting shit online.
