They're up by 8 and the field goals would have been 53 and 54 yards respectively. When you're one of the best defenses in the league and you can choose between pinning them under the 10 or risk giving them the ball at the 45, what are you gonna do?

Chargers look like shit, barely squeezing a single score win over the winless Raiders.

Said it a couple weeks ago but I feel pretty bad for Carr. He seems like he has a lot of potential, he just doesn't have good protection or any good receiving weapons.

Doubt it would have mattered but the bang up Jeff Triplette officiating crew very clearly fucked Oakland out of about 2 seconds there. Easily enough time for another play.

I agree. Month ago the wheels came off the Charger train and have never been put back on. I think Carr would be really solid with a better team, he has to do to much on the Raiders though and he is going to get used up and tossed aside.
