Kinda hard to claim Patriots have the best pass defense when jay cutler and dalton is the best qb theyve played.

Are the talking heads really saying this? Patriots QB's opponents are A. Smith, Cutler, Dalton, Cassel, Tannehil, Geno, Orton, and Carr... Godly

He throws 6 TDs 550 yards and less than 100 Quarterback "rating"

right. obviously a great rating system
His QBR in beating rape charges is 100.

I don't think Cutler is horrible but he's certainly not worth what is being paid. Regardless of the defence, which is bad, there is no way with the current NFL rules you shouldn't be lighting it up every week with Marshall, Jeffrey, Bennett and Forte to throw to. Instead the Bears have trailed by double digits at the half in 4 of 8 games so far, that's ridiculous. Cutler's deal is really a 3 year deal and I'd say next year is it for him in Chicago, if we really bottom out this year we may even see a high draft choice on a QB. The problem with that though as already mentioned is there is a real derth of NFL caliber QB's at the college level right now, I guess we'll see.

Marshall might even be in full headcase mode. He was quitting on routes yesterday and taking himself out on downs. Lamarr Houston blowing out his knee on that celebration sack yesterday is pretty much the metaphor for the Bears season.

Watching Redzone yesterday and they showed Geno Smith's first terrible pass attempt to Percy Harvin. You can see when it hits home for him that he just went from Russell Wilson to Geno Smith throwing him the ball.

If you look closely you can actually pinpoint the exact moment his heart breaks in two.

Steelers didnt have to face him like half the game, he got hurt.

And talking about hurt.....the Rams lost their top receiver and starting LT for the season. Maybe they can get Winston in the draft who knows.

If someone can get him to grow up, he's going to be an elite NFL QB imo. Watching the adjustments he made to NDs defense in that game was amazing, the football IQ stuff and physical part of the game he has everything and more to be a great QB. Million dollar arm 10c head.

Him going to a place like NYC would end his career instantly.

also fuck vincent jackson. i dont even know where he'd play on the pats. Lafell has the only traditional receiver spot pretty locked up. Jackson can't replace Edelman in the slot, or Gronk and Wright as WR/TE blends.

i also just realized that no one else would have probably heard of that trade rumor. Just the boston sports radio rumor mill

Jameis Winton has the IQ of a gatorade jug. He'd be perfect for the Jets.

This is a no brainer. He replaces Lafell.

Apparently the Bucs want a second or at worst a third for the guy? Does that sound fucking dumb as hell to anyone else? I'd be pissed if my team gave away a fucking second for a once great receiver at the end of his career to come in midseason.

Yes it does. Dolphins trying to deal Hartline and a 5th for him I've heard.

I'm usually strongly pro-player in terms of labor issues and stuff, but how is taking yourself out even a thing? Teams should be able to withhold game checks from guys who refuse to play when healthy. Skill players like Marshall and Percy Harvin are usually among the highest paid players on the team even.
