Miami's record would be so much better if they could just generate a few more points per game. Kind of surprising with Philbin being the HC there. I bet in two years they take over that division, assuming the fans are patient enough to stick with him.
According to Riverboat, he left him in to "develop some rhythm" ...9 sacks...what fucking brain dead neanderthal is keeping Newton in the game for this?
It's not really surprising at all. Philbin had a superbowl quality team to score points with, now he's got a mediocre ass team with an overpaid stone handed receiver who's claim to fame can't be exploited because our 3rd year QB couldn't throw a deep ball to save his life, a running back who's out for the season after 1 game and two backups that are gigantic pussies that only actually started performing after their job was stolen by Knowshown. With that said if Philbin can produce a season over .500 he wont go anywhere, even if we do miss the playoffs.Miami's record would be so much better if they could just generate a few more points per game. Fair enough, but remember that one of NE's losses came from the Fins and that the Fins have had a pretty damn hard schedule to this point, compared to the Cheatriots (Denver and KC aside), having to face the Pats, Packers, Chargers, and Lions already. Not to say that the Pats win over Denver wasn't impressive, but I am far from convinced they are the class of the AFC down the stretch. Both teams are going to get tested the rest of the way, for sure.
The loss to Phins came early in the season when Pats looked lost, they quickly got a fire lit under their ass and raped anything that came their way. Brady wants to play for another 5-6 years. Its a valid point that he might not be playing for the Patriots though.Fair enough, but remember that one of NE's losses came from the Fins and that the Fins have had a pretty damn hard schedule to this point, compared to the Cheatriots (Denver and KC aside), having to face the Pats, Packers, Chargers, and Lions already. @Sutekh-
That's why I think two years. If Philbin can find fill a few holes in the roster that defense is more than capable of carrying the team. That will likely take a couple years to pull off, though.
The pats lit up the Dolphins in the first half of that game, Miami came from 10 down and scored 23 unanswered points. That wasn't the schmuck Pats that almost lost to the Raiders/Jets.The loss to Phins came early in the season when Pats looked lost, they quickly got a fire lit under their ass and raped anything that came their way. No they haven't.A few good teams have had tight games with the Jets and Raiders
