If Miami is going to get better then the Owners have to be patient, and the fans have to hope that upper management doesn't have their heads up their asses with acquisitions (FA and draft) during the next few years. In many ways they're still suffering from the mismanagement of the Parcells era.

I know you want that Phins victory to matter and in a way it does, but not in the way you think. You want that victory to validate Miami's strength and it doesn't.
These Pats went on to beat the Vikes after losing to the Phins, then Raiders by only 7 points before getting blown out by Kansas by 25+ points. Clearly they were struggling in first 4 games of the season because in the next 5 games they scored a combined 200+ points.
If they played a game tomorrow, no one except the diehard homers would take the Phins in that game.
