Yay Gronk is supposed to be back shortly. With a bit of luck Amendola will be healthy for the playoffs and we'll be able to get Edelman back before the championship and/or superbowl!
He might as well sit out this week. I mean, playing the Eagles at home? Gotta be about 50/50 they give up 45 points for the 3rd straight week.

Oh yeah he probably should take the week off to get as close to 100% as possible. Definitely no reason to rush him back in since we got a loss anyways so that eliminates any "put him in just to try and get another 16-0 season" mentality that might've affected decisions (although they kept Amendola out of the Denver game so probably wouldn't be an issue regardless).

Just glad he'll be around for the playoffs instead of done for the season.

It's gonna be fun talking to the Browns fans at work tomorrow after their loss, too.

I have exactly one person I know/talk to on any regular basis that is a Browns fan, and I'm not even sure I'll have the stomach to bring up football at all around him for a couple of weeks after this game tonight. Last 3 or 4 years he's constantly telling me they are on the right track and that THIS year will be the year they will finally compete in their division. Some years they've shown signs (6-3 start last year, 3-2 start the year before that), but they always end up falling flat in the stretch.

Rereading through that Bill Simmons article and remembering the different scenarios that COULD have went down in the draft last year for Cleveland is just sad.

I can't believe that mother fucker ruined our draft position. We have one more tough suck fest with the Dolphins but luckily the last four games are against actual football teams. We can still do this, I believe in you pic six Schaub!

As a Dolphins fan who is hoping for a good system and staff finally, we appreciate all the help our Ravens brothers can give us. Thank you, Ravens.

I really just feel bad for that city. They cannot catch a break. The Simmons article was very good and highlights how bad it's really been.

I'm alright with it. I think it's funny that LeBron's quest to bring a title to Cleveland is coinciding with the rise of what could very well be one of the greatest teams in NBA history. We could have a repeat of last year's NBA Finals. Results and all. The Cavs are the ultimate "go fuck yourself Cleveland" Cleveland team. They actually provide a little hope.

I see the Rams won't face any discipline for the Case Keenum concussion incident. I'm sure the league will promise to do a better job with their spotters as well. Big Ben approves.

Why would the Rams? Whoever is in charge of pulling players off the field for suspected concussions should get fired, though.

The NFLPA is making a stink about the Rams facing no sort of discipline or whatever for not taking responsibility for what happened. You'd think the teams medical personnel are constantly monitoring what's happening on the field. Everyone watching knew right away dude was woozy as fuck.

Mostly because the Rams are responsible for pulling players off the field for suspected concussions.
The spotter is an unaffiliated doctor (? just trained?) who is responsible for pulling off players. From what I read the Rams doctors concluded he did not have a concussion (fuckin lol but they're paid by the Rams) and the spotter decided since they decided he didn't get a concussion he must be a-ok and it is perfectly normal for humans to ragdoll. The spotter done fucked up. He should have pulled off Case to do his own investigation.

Reading through some of those articles makes it sound like the spotter just signals the refs for a medical timeout, and they're supposed to place an emphasis on head injuries (lol). Not sure then if the spotter themselves are a doctor and come on to check them out or if it's Rams' medical people and/or neurologist who checks the guy out as part of the concussion protocol.

Spotter obviously fucked up, be curious to know what Keenum said to the Rams guy who came out to talk to him after the hit that made him think he was fine to stay in the game. It was obvious he had issues the second his head hit the turf.

The Rams man, still think it's funny Tavon Austin is their 2nd leading rusher but only 3rd leading receiver (at least yardage wise, #1 in catches).
