While it's not 'grabbing and controlling' he turned Rodgers' helmet, grazing or not I doubt they touch the rule and it continues to get called because at full speed turning someone's helmet and then bringing them down by that shoulderpad will look all sorts of bad.

Lions just tried to do too much the last play. They had defenders at medium range trying to protect from lateral plays and stuff on the hail mary, even had some in press coverage on the snap. Then 6 defenders behind Rodgers in the end zone, none in front.

It was not a super flagrant one but he hooked his finger in the face mask and it turned both his head and helmet and thats all that is necessary for the flag.

If you're willing to call a facemask on the last play of the game then you should be able to call defensive holding on the hail mary. Most refs wouldn't dare call a game changing penalty but to do it for one team and not another on a blatant penalty?
I don't agree with you guys on the turning facemask, one straight finger doesn't turn a helmet. Aaron played it well.
Lastly, the Lions did fuck up. They always do. Whether its playing the right people or speaking out. Pretty irritating no one is willing to take a fine to say fuck the NFL or the refs. Caldwell needs out. We need a Jim Harbaugh in Detroit too.
Bonus story - Apparently I've had a friend for years that has deep seeded hate for the Lions. He is a packers fan of course. Not sure who could hate the Lions they haven't done anything in decades. Anyways, we argued the penalty. He just kept sharing dumb posts on FB and then finally shared a pic of Suh with "Karma is a bitch, bitch." I'm not sure if he realizes we don't have Suh anymore or what but I deleted him because he is clearly retarded.

With that same logic, are we going to say that the Lions player with his arms being pulled back for a couple seconds as he goes for Rodgers on the hail mary play is a hold? Because if Rodgers mask "turning" because of a finger is good enough for a penalty, I think two Packers players each holding an arm is a good enough penalty as any.
Also, I pretty much never get to homer and usually when I do its because of these moronic penalties like earlier this year or that Cowboys playoff game or the Megatron TD. So deal with it.
