bloody bronco's i actually root for them and they blow it vs the steelers.

hearing that manning is refusing to be a backup--though the bronco's are denying it.

pittsburgh is looking good offensively, defensively not so much- still don't want them to make it to the playoffs

oh the silver lining with pitt winning- the patriots are guaranteed to be either the first or second seed in the playoffs no matter how the last 2 weeks play out.

Pats just signed Steven Jackson.

Not sure he has anything left but I'd love to see one last great game by him before he hangs it up for good.

The play wasn't over and he launched himself and got a penalty. Like that was worth a penalty but if every time a fucking player launched themselves they got suspended we would be pulling people from fucking college because there would be no more players on the field.
Are you high? He launched himself helmet to helmet at a defender standing there looking the other way. If a defender did that they would be ejected on the spot.

As for the Panthers, I've heard a lot of talk from announcers about them going undefeated and Bob Costas even had his stupid little monologue about it.

You mean the defender approaching the ball carrier that had just barely been tackled? For a dude looking the other way he defends himself pretty good -

It's worth a fine. No way that's worth a suspension. Now, after the play is finished if you pick a player up and hip toss them, that should be worth a suspension....

Yeah, you need to see that within the context of the entire game. OBJ was throwing punches/fighting all game long as was flagged 3 times for unsportsmanlike conduct and could have gotten several more. I think 3 USLC in one game alone is worth an ejection...

Is it his fault the refs let it escalate? The first time Norman went after him he should have been flagged. End of story. If the officials are not going to control the game, the players take it in to their own hands.

I didn't claim that Norman was innocent in this whole thing. But my view is that particular play in a vacuum probably is only fine-worthy, but in the context of everything else that went on a suspension is probably warranted.

funny Norman immediately goes over and seemingly knees a giants player in the chest/chin
Yeah, he put a knee in the chest of the guy who just turned himself into a human missile and took a shot at his head.

I found a clip where they showed everything, Norman was as bad or worse then Beckham for the duration of the game. I do love how Norman slams Beckham, you think he shouldn't do anything but when Beckham retaliates you make an excuse for Norman...

Let's be honest here, Norman is one of the biggest assholes in the NFL and is one step under Suh. He's bad enough that Cam Newton fucking choked him out in training camp.

Guys throw punches in every single game. There are guys who throw punches a dozen times a game. The media is making this thing a spectacle but it really wasn't that bad.

This one is on the refs. They needed to control the game earlier then they did. It's sad that they are going to suspend Beckham and not Norman.

It's never okay to fucking run at a guy and spear him with your helmet, no matter what he has been doing. It's a rough game played by violent men who get gruesome injuries all the time, but shit like that can get someone unnecessarily paralyzed.

Those refs need to get suspended right along with Beckham and maybe Norman for letting it get to that point.

It's also never okay to pick a guy up and throw him to the ground after the whistle....
Are you talking about that play a few posts up? It looks like Norman dropped him after wrapping him up more than slamming him to the ground. Certainly a much different situation than running 5+ yards to slam your head into someone else's head.

What are you even talking about? Even if the ball carrier was still up and running, spearing a defender helmet to helmet is ejectionable.

And you think he has eyes through the back/side of his helmet or something? How can you claim that wasn't a blindside hit?

If you pick someone up, tilt them and put them in to the ground, you are slamming them in to the ground. I don't know what else to say on that.

For a guy getting hit in his blind side, his arms sure defended himself pretty good as he push Beckham away from him. Am I watching a different clip then you are? He clearly puts one arm on Beckham and tries to get the other there while Beckham is still in the air.

There is no way you actually believe the shit you post. Stop the trolling

The only thing I will agree with is that yes, the refs should have controlled it. They should have ejected OBJ after the 2nd unsportsmanlike penalty, and then it would have been controlled.

Was Norman 100% innocent in all this? No. But he was nowhere near the level of going out of his way to make dirty plays that OBJ was. Norman was simply goading OBJ, and OBJ took the bait. He will see a 1 game suspension out of this.

Are you a fucking retard? He clearly picks Beckham up and slams him on the ground right in front of a ref on the 5th play of the game. It should have been an ejection. Norman should have been out of the game right there. Stop being a media sheeple having Bob Costa making decisions for you.

The fact you are defending someone for running full speed, head first into the side of another person's head shows how fucking retarded you are.

Your entire argument against OBJ deserving a suspension is Norman was bad too? Yes there was dirty plays on both sides but the worst, most egregious act was OBJ lowering the crown of his helmet and launching right into the the side of the head of Norman. All parties involved in this deserve discipline, Norman, refs, OBJ, but the purposely launching himself at another player's head was the worst of it and deserves the harshest discipline and because of everything else that happened during the game that discipline has (most likely) moved beyond just a fine.
