Yeah that is one of the dumbest statements ever made in the NFL thread, Ambiturner. And that is really saying something.

Not sure why people think Seattle is definitely going to fall off either, it's not like they looked bad last night. When Wilson got turned loose and he was doing his thing, they looked dangerous as shit. Had the lead in the 4th. Was more about GB winning than Seattle being terrible or something and losing.

I was looking at their schedule earlier and you can't even say they'll beat the Vikings and brink-teams like that. Not to mention they still have 2 games versus the Cardinals left.

Their schedule is doing them no favors to deal with an 0-2 start.

They don't play the Cardinals until Week 10 though, and not the 2nd time until Week 17. As much as we kid about it, does anyone really expect Palmer to stay healthy the whole year? Chicago and Detroit the next 2 weeks should get them to 2-2. If they get a split after that against Cincy/Carolina they'll be 3-3, the exact same spot they were last year after 6 games.

Its funny because statistics say the Seahawks and Ravens each have about a 10% shot now if you take history at face value. But I can't imagine both of them not getting into the playoffs. This is why I love the NFL you don't know anything until the games are played. Unlike college where if everyone thinks you're good pre-season you can fumble your way through cupcakes and no-names and still be the best team in the country.

@Gak re Cowboys:
Yeah not just that, but I would not go waving my dick around as a Cowboys fan purely on the merits of benefitting from a Giants bed shitting and a lackluster win over the hapless eagles. If they look respectable against NE or GB, then you can start talking about Dallas being a quality team. Who knows, if Weedon produces they might be that team. Kinda doubt it, though.

As for the Hawks, I assume nothing until Palmer makes it through an entire season without a limb falling off of the guy. Their next five game stretch is about as easy as it gets, unless you are in the AFC or NFC south.....

I still think we are in play of the division. I just don't think home field throughout is in the cards anymore.

Obviously.

Dallas has a better team this year than they've ever had before.

Don't start backpedaling now, just because the other Dallas fans have rejected you for your insane stance!!!

Cowboys upcoming schedule:
27 vs Falcons 1:00 PM
10/4 @ Saints 8:30 PM
10/11 vs Patriots 4:25 PM
10/25 @ Giants 4:25 PM
11/1 vs Seahawks 4:25 PM
11/8 vs Eagles 8:30 PM
11/15 @ Buccaneers 1:00 PM
11/22 @ Dolphins 1:00 PM
11/26 vs Panthers 4:30 PM

Bucs and panthers can be wins. Saints are terrible but that is a tough game. Falcons and pats are losses. Giants will be a tough game. Sea Hawks is a loss.

I don't see them coming out of those games .500. In fact they could lose the next 5 pretty easily unless they play perfect.

my homer predictions are 8-3 at the end of that. I feel we probably should lose 1 or 2 more, but some of those teams are so bad that I think they'll lose it to us.

Sources: #Saints believe QB Drew Brees has a shoulder injury that will likely cause him to miss games, potentially several games.
