I think so far my three biggest surprises so far are:

0-3 Ravens
1-2 Fins (a bad 1-2 at that)
1-2 Hawks (offense still looked like shit vs Bears in first half)
Not sure why it is that surprising they had a really shitty start last year too. It wasn't until week 6 or 8 they really got rolling.

Pretty happy to see the Vikes bounce back after that awful game against the 9ers. AP has done his thing the last two weeks which is to be expected, but the defense played great against San Diego. That's really the type of growth we were hoping to see coming into this year.

Edit: I will say, to be fair, that the Charger o line was in shambles and even more so as injuries piled up on them through the course of the game.

Eagles win, Dallas loses. Feels good! Those Falcons aren't so shitty are they, you mouth breathers!
It's hard to say that when half our payroll wasn't even suited up. I was at the game yesterday, so I didn't get the benefit of the sideline reports and what not. I have no fucking idea what happened to my boys. It looked like the falcons adjusted and we didn't. Plus, it looked like weeden was staring down his receivers every single play. I imagine when we play a team with a good secondary that's going to mean lots more picks.

We are pretty much fucked imo. They really need to start working out a new QB this season that can replace Romo.

He is getting hurt every season now.

None of that is an excuse tho for the Defense shitting the bed yesterday.

I'm seriously concerned about our next two games that are on the road. At Green Bay, and at Cinci. Alex, you know we'll have to avatar bet on the latter. Be kind.

Hawks start does not surprise me. The Roidhawks always start slow out of the gate, at least offensively, and Jeff Fischer is the master troll of the NFC West. They let key defense pieces leave to keep Wilson and Lynch, which along with the holdout makes their D far less than what it has been. The GB and Rams losses do not really shock me and a five week run of some of the weakest teams in the league will do a lot to cure their ills. If I were a Hawks fan, my biggest concern would be on how people seem to have Lynch figured out, because without him racking up yards Wilson starts looking a lot more pedestrian.

Defense just completely shit the bed yesterday. Like I said, flashbacks to 2011/2012. Guys weren't coming off blocks, not tackling, not getting to the QB, not doing anything to slow down Julio.

I thought the offense was great until they forgot they still had half a game to go. Running less than a dozen plays in the entire second half is just embarrassing, especially with the way they were moving the ball in the first half. And yeah, Wheedon is not any sort of solution.

Still, offense puts up 28 points, you should win the game.

I caught the tail end of that game. It looked a lot like the game where Matt Flynn had that massive comeback a couple years ago. Something about the Dallas D just makes them fall off at home sometimes. As bad as Weedon might have looked, he did get 28 points on the board, which should be more than enough as stated. Hell, most first string QBs did not manage to do that yesterday.

They borrowed Kevin Coyle from the Dolphins for the last half. He wasn't doing shit in Miami so they just let him drop by and show you guys how to play defense.

Weeden had very little to do with those 28 points. It was all the run game and his refusal to do anything but dump it off to the RB made it too easy for Atlanta.

Next week Weeden figures it out and lights up the Saints.

Cowboys win it all 18-1

It is preordained.

He was under center and the Cowboys put 28 points on the board. That total should be enough to get it done against most teams.

The cowboys loss is 100% ont he coaching to me. They want to get by playing conservatively instead of trusting what they have. Weeden is playing pretty damn good, they NEEEED to trust him. They tried to just burn the clock up for a win, and that doesn't work against very offensive oriented teams.

We'll see next week what they bring to the table. If they make weeden play the designated handoff role one more time, I think its safe to put a fork in the cowboys and garret too. Like I said, even a shitty defense can hold a one sided offense in the NFL.

Nah, Jerry isn't going to do anything to Garrett. I think it would take two really bad years to force his hand in that area. He stuck with him through three straight 8-8 records, he'll keep the train rolling until shit's real bad.

Coaching could have been better in that game, it's really hard to win when you're missing key fucking pieces. As an eagles fan, I'm not oblivious to the situation we might find ourselves in totally because of Dallas injuries.
