Still no idea why on 3rd and 2 with a minute left and 2 timeouts inside the 30 Dalton decided they needed to take a shot deep. He's lucky that pass wasn't picked.
Just really don't get that decision to go for that throw when you have plenty of time and 2 timeouts left only needing 2 yards to keep the drive going. You give yourself a better shot at a TD there, and picking up the first down lets you control the clock to not leave time for Arizona to do what it just did if you're forced to just kick for the tie.
I'm guessing because Patrick Peterson got hurt and that upped the odds for a successful AJ Green TD pass to close out the game (which almost did happen). But you're right, they should have gotten the first down and drained the clock before going for the TD.
