What you have to understand about Merrith is he's denser than a nader pin and doesn't understand sarcasm or jokes of any kind.

His entire purpose in life is to rob the football thread of any joy and just be an all around buzzkill

Appearing on Sirius XM NFL Radio, ESPN's Adam Schefter said "momentum and signs seem to be piling up against a Chip Kelly return to Philadelphia."
Schefter added that the two sides are "sick of each other." The Eagles have greatly underachieved this year, compiling a listless 4-6 record while playing in arguably the league's worst division. Kelly's offense has been particularly disappointing as the Eagles have averaged just 22.9 points per game, well down from last year's 29.6. A host of college teams will be interested in Kelly if he becomes available this offseason.

He's speculating in that comment but Schefter usually has some good inside infoz to back up said speculation. Eagles D flat out gave up against an offense that only managed 10 pts, 7 of them in the last two minutes of the game, against a mediocre Dallas squad on a 6-game losing streak. Bradford the savior has been anything but and their high dollar free agents have been, to paraphrase Barkley, "Turrble". Hell, they're actively questioning Murray's effort.

Thursday will be telling. Lions are pretty bad but they're coming off the win of a generation whereas the Eagles are coming off an ass beating. There's no telling how that's going to affect either team.

This can't possibly be true, everyone else loves to join in on the idiot Cowboy fan slaying that we get to do so often. Column at least I enjoy fucking with because he's actually funny. You just consistently deliver gems of idiocy that nobody can make fun.

Wonder if any college have already reached out to Chip about openings (or potential openings)

I would think the Titans would throw the franchise to Chip. Seems like a thing they would do. You coached our QB in college? SOUNDS LEGIT!

I'd like to think they'd give, errr, who's in charge?

*shrug* Doesn't matter. I'd like to think they'd give him at least two years with Mariota before they determine if he's shit. Then again, you might be right.

Chip could make the jump from one shitty division to another, maybe he'd have early success there too.

All 4 teams are in it in the NFC Beast!
I really thought the AFC South was going to keep us from being the worst division this year. Last couple weeks have shown it's going to be neck and neck race for a potential .500 or worse division champion.

NFC South maybe? There's actually three teams in the playoff hunt there.
I hesitate to call the Falcons good and certainly not the Bucs right now. NFC north is the only one with two teams significantly past .500 but its hard to really get behind the Vikings either. Going to be a crazy wild card race.

Fucking Bills. Kinda feel bad for them, because they are a much better than .500 team. They had to play the Bengals non-prime and the Patriots twice. They threw up a stinker vs Jacksonville in London with their back up QB, and killed themselves vs the Giants with 18 penalties for 150 yards.

Easily could have been a 7-3 or 8-2 team with a different schedule and more disciplined Head Coach.
