Amazing to me that every television station has some rep or former rep of the officiating brain trust in their booth, but the league can't put together some sort of oversight committee to keep an eye on games on Sunday to advise on field officials of certain calls/issues. Kind of like how the NHL has the war room in Toronto overseeing a lot of key calls.Nice 10 minute delay while the refs try to figure out which down it is. This game is brought to you by Sesame Street!
There's not a rep in every booth you fucking retard. Fox has Periera in New York and CBS has Carey in some random location.Amazing to me that every television station has some rep or former rep of the officiating brain trust in their booth, but the league can't put together some sort of oversight committee to keep an eye on games on Sunday to advise on field officials of certain calls/issues. Fair enough, fair enough not physically IN every booth, but they have them on call to question about anything. When you'd have a central war room type deal it would be the exact same setup. Just give the on field crews support from some officiating committee at the NFL HQ or something. There's not a rep in every booth you fucking retard. They have that, with Blandino, that's who they are talking to during replays.Fair enough, fair enough not physically IN every booth, but they have them on call to question about anything. Have you had the pleasure of meeting many people from around Boston? I don't particularly recommend it, but it might explain things for you.So does being a Patriots fan make you an anti-social douchebag, or do anti-social douchebags just gravitate towards the Patriots? Real chicken or the egg issue here
Which is fine, but when those dumb fucks can't even figure out what down it is without a 5+ min conference, why can't they just get a signal to contact them to hear what it should be.They have that, with Blandino, that's who they are talking to during replays.
I'm catching up with the thread, but the Chiefs playing "Kickstart" is inspirational music for our Gravy!Whoever runs the Arrowhead sound must really like Motley Crue. Kickstart My Heart was our kickoff music for YEARS (maybe it still is, haven't been to a Chiefs game in a few years)
It's funny because when they came back from the commercial after that, they showed that the lady ref was signaling the correct down to them. But they ignored her and had their 10 minute meeting because "lol girls can't do math/football" or something? I think just having a liason between the broadcast team (who usually figures out the correct call pretty fast) and the on field refs would help out a lot.Which is fine, but when those dumb fucks can't even figure out what down it is without a 5+ min conference, why can't they just get a signal to contact them to hear what it should be.
For something that simple it should take no time to get right with minimum of outside help given. Quick call and it's done. It's funny because when they came back from the commercial after that, they showed that the lady ref was signaling the correct down to them.
