I didn't watch the game, how many penalties did the Pats have called on them in the first 3 quarters? Then how many in the 4th? You'd also think a Gary Kubiak coached team would have more penalties than a Bill Belichick coached team, I don't think I need Ham in here to break it down for you. By your logic every team should have the same amount of penalties and penalty yards, which makes you, wrong again! =)
Confirmed Pats fan.

But I agree with your point, Pats never commit penalties so any time they're called for one it's an obvious conspiracy!

The best:

I'm signing because I'm a whiny little bitch of a Pats fan who has nothing better to do than make up every excuse in the book for why my overrated team lost against a better Broncos team. We were injured too much, and the referees were mean, and there's a conspiracy against us by the NFL, and the lower air pressure at elevation in Denver caused the air in the footballs to inflate too much for Tom Brady to throw them right, and they wouldn't let Bill Belichick go on the Broncos sideline or listen to their radios like he's supposed to be allowed to do, and it's unfair that there was snow on the ground--Denver should've had to have a domed stadium, and CJ Anderson shouldn't have been allowed to wear cleats, and no one should be allowed to touch Gronk if he has the ball but he should be allowed to push off when he's running because it's slick out there and he needs traction. Also, there should be a rule that the Pats automatically get a 14 point head start in away games... no wait, that wasn't enough twice on Sunday. Yeah, the Pats should get a 21 point head start in away games. Anything else and it's just not fair. It was all that... that's why we lost. It definitely wasn't because we were outmatched, committed penalties at inopportune times, made bad special teams mistakes, couldn't make plays late in the game, kept calling run plays despite getting stuffed in the middle, and failed miserably even though we had the first possession in overtime. It was everyone else's fault.

the pats lost not because of the refs. sure some plays hurt- that holding call that negated a 53yd pass, gronks OPI call - where if you see it live, that picture above- while correct - doesn't show the Context- Gronk barely touched the guy- you see way worse pushoffs by all receivers in the nfl pretty much every game played- than what gronk got called for.

brock O for denver played really good making his 2nd start, the only fault he has that IS correctable is he's not good at the check downs and recognizing that delayed blitz(pats got him a few times for that one)-due to inexperience- he seems to have the drive to win, now he just has to learn to play AT the pro level in a non-practice situation- he continues to play at the level he displayed the past 2 games then peyton SHOULDN'T get his job back even if he gets healthy- brock O the past 2 games has played better than peyton has all season-except for that one game after the bye week.

if the pats get healthy in the receiving corps(get Edelman amendola and gronk playing) and O-Line (and the o-line is getting healthy(cross fingers:emoji_nose: without any major injuries going into and through the playoffs, then they will make the superbowl.

nfc imo the panthers are the team to beat- they have the best Defense in the nfc, while having a really good offense- no other team is as balanced in the nfc, remember Defense wins championships.

And proven incredibly wrong. By, you know, statistics and stuff. Really no reason to post all of the evidence again, I'm 99% sure it has already been posted in this thread. Scoring more points than the other team is what wins you championships. And cheating (if you are the patriots)

The patriots fan base is so delusional it's sad. Stop blaming the refs for every little fucking thing and just say "yeah, they lost that game". Fuck, I think most people here would even agree that if they were at full strength then they likely would have won easily.

More often than not in the modern era a top5 offense and a bottom20 defense win the crown. Usually you just hope your defense can stem the tide of points and get a few turnovers in the playoffs and ride that to a win. It isn't about trying to win a 13-7 game anymore.

Except for that 17-14 game.
Exactly. That incredibly high scoring SB last year that was 52-48 at halftime is nothing like the35-21 1997 SB,37-24 1992 SB,26-21 1981 SBor the35-31 1979 SB. Thank God the NFL found out what offenses were in the past decade. Nothing ever exciting before that shit...

Pats fans should be happy they copped a loss.

Fuck it, they got it out of the way and the pressure of an undefeated season is put to bed. Just win the fucking Super Bowl, thats all that matters.

Interesting read:

Is Rob Gronkowski being unfairly targeted by referees? - NFL

Its truth. Pats have been a target since off season with the non-issue deflate which has been proven to be BS. Pats haters cant get past their blind hatred, but the sad thing is in 20 years, you will all be looking back at these games as some of the best NFL games. Pats consistently deliver fantastic football games. Win or lose.

If Patriots were at or even near the top of the league in penalties your argument wouldnt sound quite so bad. But shut the fuck up already.
